I heart Aquapets™.
I can’t help it.
It all started when I saw Rachael’s a few weeks ago. I haven’t been so smitten by and covetous of a toy since Tamagotchies first came out. As much as I desired one, I thought it would make a good xmas present for my sister. It did.
So tonight I went shopping with Conchita, and thanks to her prodding, I bought not ONE, but TWO (Lugi & Tabi). And let me tell you, they’re just so CUTE! They dance & make these eerie little chirping sounds & even shut up when you want them to!
I know it’s dumb, but it feels good to get so much satisfaction out of such a frivolous purchase - most likely because it’s such a rare event for me. Strange how squandering away money on the unnecessary makes me feels more like a REAL adult than purchasing any appliance or paying any car note ever has. It falls in line with childhood dreams of growing up, having a job, and having the luxury to spend your money on whatever fancies you (dozens of donuts, cases of Garbage Pail Kids).
Anyway, I need more Aquapets.
