I just read in Alex's journal that she wanted to marry the snow(when we still had snow that is :(...)! Wouldn't that be absolutely brilliant?
Yesterday when we were having all that rain and the snow was melting away it made me really depressed. I still feel a bit empty now... I guess I just wasn't ready to see the snow leave, because I hadn't gone out in it as much as I would have liked(although i did on Saturday, which was awesome! Ahhh! I love snow and hot-tubs). We're supposed to get another snowstorm this weekend, so that should be really fun.
This week has been so draining. I am quite ready for the weekend. Yeah, see how I can't even think of interesting things to say? :( Ah well, it's chill.
The good side to this week is that it has been full of books for me!!! I'm so happy, because I really love to read and I've sacrificed my homework to pursue a real education with Mr.Robbins and Mr.Arenas. I just finished reading "Another Roadside Attraction" by Tom Robbins which is one of the best books I've read. I adore how that man writes! I'd quote him a bit now, but I loaned out my book and I'm too lazy to search for it online. So sometime when you're least expecting it, I'll bust out some Robbins on you! :) From beginning to end, that book captivated me with its...okay, nevermind, I'm kind of blah-ed out right now so I feel i'd be doing an injustice to the novel by trying to describe it. Once again, when you're least expecting it! Hehe! :)
To make things even better, the next day I went to the library where I got some reads
1."Mona and Other Tales" by Reinaldo Arenas(That's what I'm reading now! I'm almost done and its truly incredible!!! I saw "Before Night Falls", his memoir made into a movie)
2. "Cat's Cradle" by Kurt Vonnegut(This has been highly recommended to me, he's supposed to be great :) I am oooh so excited! I think that's next on my list...)
3. "The Poisonwood Bible" by Barbara Kingsolver (This was on sale for 50 cents, so I'm not in a big hurry to read it, but I've heard its good.)
4. "My Name is Red" by Orhan Pamuk(For a little peek at the Middle East!)
5. "The Cider House Rules" by John Irving(Another 50 cent find! I was oh-so happy since practically every other book in there was a pectoral-rippling romance novel!)
6. "The Call of the Toad" by Gunter Grass(This was my random book of the day. I always try to do that when I'm at the library just to keep my curiosity percolating. It seemed like it would be an easy read.)
Wow, its amazing how much of a better mood that put me in! Tonight we have our final performance and a cast party! I love cast parties...mmm! My face is lighting up just thinking about it!
And then tomorrow
