no jet lag?
weird. maybe not yet.
i slept for the majority of my flight(s):
3 hrs from San Antonio to San Francisco (totally passed ouuuttt)
4 hr lay over in San Fran, got coffee and ran into a friend from school..weird
11 hrs from San Fran to Seoul.. slept off and on. felt like i ate alot
met a really AWESOME older lady who sat across the aisle from me
guessing she was in her early 60's
talked alot about music and punk/DIY ethics, the lady knew her shiittt :)
ok actually i'm really excited right now.
i went to dinner with a few friends last night
and i was talking to this girl Vanessa who takes Yoga with my friend Lauren
and theyre all english teachers here- i'm telling vanessa that i'm really interested in starting pri00vate lessons or something
and she tells me about her sister who's also an english teacher, working with kindergardeners,
saying that she was leaving in two months and needed to find a replacement
i ask her if she could talk to her sister about me, seeing that it's a pretty easy job and the pay is INSANE..
we traded numbers, and i actually get a call from her TODAY
earlier, while i was visiting my uncle at the hospital (he's getting knee sugery)
vanessa calls me to tell me about a job offer, her friend works at a school in Suji which is a small town outside of Seoul
and theyre desperate for teachers for next week so she asked of i was interested which OF COURSE i was
the job is Monday - Friday from 9:30am - 2:30pm teaching little kids
and i'm getting paid $700 plus they're giving me my own apartment for the week
HOW FUCKING AWESOME IS THAT??!!
ps. my dog is fucking cool.
