History of Violence

Again, like last night, no spoilers here.

History of Violence deserves every bit of praise it's gotten. Every. Single. Bit. It was incredible, totally different level than Flightplan. There really is no comparison actually. It was just... wow.

There was nothing fun in the beginning of the movie like last night, no previews either. They went straight into the movie, to the point where Robyn and I weren't even sure we were in the right theater. Once we saw "David Cronenberg" and "Viggo Mortensen" we stopped worrying and enjoyed the movie.

I'm afraid to give anything away by saying to much, and I've promised Tati I won't accidentally give anything away. Just know that it was amazing, incredible, and completely worth it. A little on the bloody side for me, I don't like blood or any other body part being torn apart and there was some of that. But the plot was pretty much hole-free, and

And Viggo was Viggo. He was adorable and lovable and there was bum and almost a crotch shot. And he was so tender the first part of the movie, the bunnies just wouldn't leave me alone. And his face... he wams beautiful, just beautiful. It was very interesting to watch him change as the movie went on.

Not to belittle the other actors of course. Everyone was amazing, the girl who played his daughter was adorable, and David Cronenberg did an excellent job with the direction. It was so real and stark, there was no hiding anything. The music was by Howard Shore, half the time I got confused, same instruments as LOTR, the low bass and the strings, and I almost expected Aragorn or hobbits or something.

I know I missed a ton of the movie that I can talk about, I just can't think of it right now. I'm more than willing to discuss the movie further, I'm just afraid to give anything away. IM or email or comment or something ^_^
