[Those paying attention to the video stream, now broadcasting publically, will notice that it's staring down towards the roads of Somni from quite a high place. More specifically, the view is from the top of a street lamp. At first there's a whimpering sound to accompany the video, before it's replaced with a voice off camera.]T- This isn't funny!

[Liquid was rather surprised to see someone hanging from a streetlamp when he was on his way home.]

[That panicked voice sounded very familiar.]

[He looked up at the dangling engineer with mild interest.]

[Panicking is not something he wants to be doing right now, not anymore than he already is at least. He concentrates on keeping his grip.]

I hope you're not here just to tease me... How can you even be here to begin with?!

[He looked a the streetlamp, judging its height.]

How high would you say that is, Emmerich? Twenty, maybe twenty-five feet?

[He sighs, trying to pull himself up again, only to fail.]

I'd give you a more accurate count, but I'm not exactly a fan of heights.

Quite frankly, this really isn't a very good time to discuss it, wouldn't you say?

[Since Otacon was hanging from a streetlamp and all.]

It looks about twenty. [He walked underneath the engineer.] Let go.

I'm not letting go! Are you crazy? I'd break my legs, or even worse, my neck!

Emmerich, it's only twenty feet. The worst that you could get would be a broken ankle, and with me here to catch you, you won't even get that.

[And if he let Snake's precious pet engineer get injured, his brother would have a damn cow.]

I doubt if you could hold on long enough for me to find a ladder, if I even knew where to find one around here. Now, either you let go now, or I just wait for about five minutes until you do it anyway. Take your pick.

Snake is already on his way here. You can't expect me to trust you of all people, after everything you've done! I'll wait the five minutes first.

You've already called brother? Good. Hopefully he'll bring a bloody ladder.

I suppose I'll stay until he gets here. I really don't want to deal with him calling me up later to bitch at me for leaving you in danger. Especially if your grip doesn't hold until he gets here.

I really don't have to wait around to know that. I am, however, rather amused that you'd take the long, complicated solution rather than the short, quick one.

If you're worried that I'll harm you, then your fears are unfounded.

You'd be surprised, sometimes the long and complicated solution is the one with the better result.

I wouldn't say my concern is unfounded either! The only reason you'd care was if you needed me. [SUSPICION.]

In hindsight, though, I really ought to have put more security around your lab. Bloody cyborg ninjas.

[shrug] Anyway. I'm not out to build Outer Heaven here. Considering how batshit this place is, it simply isn't worth the headache.

Just because you claim to have no intention of building Outer Heaven, doesn't mean that you wouldn't be planning something else!
