hey guys,
i'm in London.  woo hoo!  ^_^  but yeah, the 2 week tour was absolutely the most amazing thing i've ever experienced...and at the same time, it was absolutely totally and completely exhausting.  pretty sure most of us spent the first week in London getting situated to classes and sleeping :-P  but that's okay.  on the tour, we went to Munich, Salzburg, Montreux (Switzerland), Verona, Vienna, and Paris.  Munich and Paris were by far my favorite, but i'll tell more about everything in a later post.  now we're in London, which is the theatre capital of the world, so i'm going crazy because there isn't enough time to do everything i want to do!  this thursday, me and a few friends are gonna line up in front of the theatre at like, 5 in the morning, because at 10, they sell 25 front row tickets (first come first serve) for 25 pounds.  this is pretty much amazing, because for these huge west end musicals usually sell the worst seats in the house for over 60 pounds.  so yeah.  we're gonna line up to get tickets for Wicked on thrusday morning.  if we don't get the front row, we're gonna go a few hours before the performance and see if we can't get student rush tickets.  either way, we're gonna see Wicked on thursday!  super excited...not gonna lie.  then tonight, we're going to see Ivanov with my theatre class.  it's supposed to be absolutely amazing, and there are signs for it all over the subway stations.  apparently, our professor heard about it over a year ago, and bought tickets then, cause he knew they would sell out as soon as they were released to the general public, which they did.  and apparently there's some huge actor starring...but i have no idea who.  but yeah, and next week Wednesday, we're going to see Spamalot (boys, you'll appreciate that one...it's a Monty Python show)  jenny (a friend i met on the tour) got us discount tickets.  i'm really super excited about it.
classes are going really well.  they're really different than they are in the states.  each class is like, 2 and a half or 3 and a half hours long, and you only have 1 or 2 a day.  It was tough sitting through them the first few days, but you get used to it really fast.  not to mention i've got some amazing professors.  i can honestly say that i really enjoy all of my classes, and there isn't even one that i dislike right now.  of course, that could change when it comes time to write all the papers...but that's okay ^_^
we're also starting to plan some of our trips.  the weekend of thanksgiving, we're planning to hit up Rome and Greece, and i'm gonna head back to Switzerland to go to Interlaken.  the city is absolutely gorgeous, and people say it's got the prettiest scenery of anywhere in the world.  not to mention, i'm planning on going hangliding over the swiss alps ^_^  while i'm in Switzerland, i'll probably stop in the capital, Bern.  i also really want to go to Barcelona, Spain, but right now i'm having a hard time finding people to go with me.  We're also thinking about getting a group together and visiting the Canary Islands in November or early December when it gets colder.  that'll definitely be a nice change.

but yeah, everything is going really well over here.  i miss tim pretty terribly, and we're both still trying to figure out how to deal with this whole super long distance thing...but it'll be alright.

my address over here is room 184, 10 York Terrace East, London, UK, NW1 4PT     just in case you wanted to send me letters or anything...*wink*wink*
i was wondering if someone could take a look in my room at home and send me some things.  it turns out i really super hard core under-packed for this trip, so i was wondering if someone could send me a pair of jeans...i wanna say the ones i want should be the top of the stack in whatever droor my jeans are in...and my tan/gold/pink flats.  the ones that are kinda suede-ish with gold lining and pink on the inside.  i'm trying my hardest not to buy too many shoes while i'm over here, but it'd be nice to have those so i don't have to wear tennis shoes everywhere. but yeah, it turns out that yeah, people do dress up a little more over here, and yeah, people genearlly don't usually just walk around in jeans and tennis shoes, but no one really cares.  our professor (the group leader) just likes to over-analyze things.  and hoodys are just fine.  granted you wouldn't wear them in nice resteraunts anyway, but again, nobody really cares.  they know we're Americans when we talk anway, it's not like we're hiding anything :-P

but yeah, i'll post more another day.  right now, i've got places to go, people to see ^_^
