[ Action-- 461 Stone Street ]

[ Today has been a very, very odd day. After yet another peaceful day of school and inn-work back in Inaba, life had taken a turn for the saccharine with her new awakening in some very vintage flannel pyjamas down on Stone Street. The initial squawks of surprise and reaching for her fan occur, but to no avail- there ( Read more... )

Amagi-san, my name is Izayoi Sakuya. I hate to be the bearer of bad news, but everyone in this town has been kidnapped to this place from their homes. There's no clear exit; trying to go towards the edges of town will only leave you right back where you started.

So it is true... [ A small sigh. ] I still don't really understand it, though. Thank you, Sakuya-san.

It's a difficult thing to wrap one's head around. Do you have anyone from your hometown here? That can be the biggest help, I've found.

One, so far- Yosuke Hanamura. I plan to look for him first.

I'm glad to hear it, Yukiko-san. If there's anything I can do to be of assistance, please don't hesitate to contact me. I live at 1647 Albright Lane.

I'll be sure to, Sakuya-san. [ ... ] Um, actually...directions may be a good start.

[She takes a moment to explain the general layout of the town, where places like the school and the stores are, and the like.]

Ah, two things - I strongly advise not drinking the milk, as it's been known to be poisoned. And it's best to avoid the post office, as well. The postman will give your things back if you ask, but at a very steep price, such as an arm or leg or other vital organs...

[ She scribbles a few things down, but most is memorised, filed away for the time when context will be provided. ]

...this really is a dangerous town.

That it is. But keep your friends close, and you should make it through just fine.

[ Wouldn't be the first time. She makes an affirmative noise, sounding much more ready to face things now. ]

Yes, that's right. But, in the meantime, I suppose I should get to school, huh?

I suppose so. Good luck, Yukiko-san...

[ She gives a tiny laugh, more nervous than amused. ]

I'm a little excited about that, now that I've calmed down. I've never gone to an American school before-- will it be very different than Japan?

I honestly can't say - it's been years since I've been in school, and the town has me in a 'mother' role.

Ah...really? That must be very strange.

It's been an adjustment, that's for sure. I'm used to taking care of people, because I work as a maid back at home, but looking at the pictures on the wall and knowing I didn't actually pose for them is disconcerting.

I don't mind the rest so much. My 'husband' and I got along right from the start, which I gather is uncommon, and, well, things aren't so bad, aside from when the town does bad things...

[ She glances back now, and they stand out to her immediately this time- photos of her and a family which look perfectly alike, the odd one out but looking for all her life like they'd been a family.

Now that is disturbing. ]

Mm, it's dangerous- I've been told that, too. Who is your husband?
