Right now I'm flailing around being stupid-happy that
my doujinshi is gonna arrive before Fanime :D :D :D
I met up with Aidou and
koi_suru_usagi and the topic of the 2008 Fanime protesters who held up a sign saying "Believe in Jesus or burn in Hell" got me thinking (however late it is)...
For all those "UR GOIN' 2 HELL" Christians out there:
You know what it's like to not be saved.
You know what it's like when he saved you.
And if you know, you also know that you did NOTHING to deserve salvation except give him tens of thousands of reasons why he shouldn't.
Gloating at people you're so sure are going to Hell and only letting people who agree to join a twisted game of Pygmalion into your little country club you call "church" isn't gonna win you any brownie points.
That's right. You're gloating. You don't love God. You don't love the people. All you are about is getting an ego boost, thinking "I did something for God" when in reality, you're doing it because you want to feel like you're earning your place in Heaven.
Don't think I'm pulling this out of my ass. I was like that too, so I know very well how you think.
Whatever you think is "evil"--anime, manga, rap, mohawks, black lipstick, whatever--out of all the people in the world, I know that my God takes the people who associated with all the things people think "isn't good enough for church" and does more with them than fifty churches combined.
But since your god is so narrow-minded that he'd put me in Hell for cosplaying and participating in Fanime, I'm glad I don't believe in the same god you do.
