Kids are finally home. Hooray! Devin ran up to hug me and just started BAWLING. Patrick walked off any baby fat he had left, he's still a man-child, but he's leaning more towards the man part now.
I had planned on switching cell phone companies when they got back, and getting them each one. With Patrick going away for a week on a mission trip, and another week for band camp, and pretty much just life getting more and more hectic, I thought it would be a smart idea. The day before their arrival, I was emptying the dishwasher when I noticed a line across the inside. I leaned in to see what could have made it, and hello....it was a 10 inch crack. Uh, that's not good. Kind of want those things to be water tight. There goes my cell phone money. I could wash the dishes by hand, but hahaha, no. So I got one, and it's great, and surprise! I still have enough money to buy out my contract with T-Mobile!
The kids nearly passed out when I pulled into Verizon and told them we're all getting new phones. Seriously, I think Devin literally floated around the store. Patrick picked out a great (free) phone, and Devin wanted some flippy dippy super phone which he did not get. Here we are, new quiet dishwasher (holy hannah that thing is quiet) and kids sending me pictures of their toe. Devin actually sent me a text from bed yesterday requesting two eggs over easy with toast. I made it, but when he came out I told him we order our food old school ... in person.
Last night was movie night, we watched Cloverfield. Freaky and wow. It was a perfect movie for us. Devin sat with his mouth open for an hour and a half, trying not to get freaked out, but he had a hand or foot touching me the entire time. Patrick was so into it he didn't make a snarky comment after the first ten minutes.
