There is still hope.

Alias seems to be back on not-so-awful track.

First off, I love Marshall. And the end of 5x07, with the crib? I love Jack. So much. Guys, thank the gods you're still on that show. I keep getting surges of Weiss-missing and Sark-missing, though. And Rachel bores me. So. Much. As do the repetitive sapphic hints. Comparing Vaughn-and-Sydney to Sydney-and-Rachel? Hmm, yeah guys. The way Amy Acker (and I'll remember her character's name some day, I swear) is with and about her? Hmm, yeah. So stop throwing contradictory, something-might-happen-with-Tom hints and actually make her gay, for Irina's sake! Or you know, bi, in which case I'd still love the Tom stuff to stop. Because Tom is not boring yet, but I'm sure she'd rub off on him.

I still like Renée a lot. Elodie kicks ass, and is incredibly cute.

Also, Nadia! Mia Maestro is a beautiful, beautiful woman. And the Sloane stuff finally got interesting for a while - although if APO trusts him again now they're fucking blind. I'm afraid he's back to boring with letting them blackmail him with Nadia. And the new supervisor guy comes off as booooring. What happened to interesting bad guys? Sark! Come back! The way I love you, too, if you please. And if you could put Sydney and Rachel out of their misery while you're at it? Cheers. ...although I find myself liking Amy Acker's character at last, and wondering how she'd do with Sark. And how Tom would fare against Sark. (Good advice on the fighting dirty, but fucking predictable piss-her-off-so-she-hits-you moment.)

It's possible I'm still obsessed with Sark, yes.

Oh, and by the way, Syd, I personally don't think you're "insane" for going back to work in such a state. I think they don't wanna let you go because you're the star of that show, and I think that you're hella boring by now, and I think I'd like it better if you were dead. But I don't think you're insane. Only irresponsible.

I want interesting bad guys, people. We've had so many over the years, on that show. Sark, Irina. Even Noah I liked. Sloane used to be not-boring, occasionally still is. Simon was lovely, he had lots of potential. And I'm one of the few that liked Lauren. Come on. Give me interesting bad guys. Pretty please?

Have finally met my cousin Christophe, that lives in Paris and works in a production company. He's just as interesting and lovely as the e-mails we'd exchanged had hinted at. And he loved A History of Violence quite as much as I did. (Go see it, people.) It was unexpected since my father just came home with him (thus me in my lame old red sweater thing I wouldn't get caught dead in in public), and definitely of the good.
