Okay so only two noms for Children of Men? Meh. But at least they're well deserved. What I can't get over, however, is OMG ALAN ARKIN IS UP FOR AN OSCAR. This would make me so fucking happy if it happened. I have loved him through so many more or less tiny parts. That man deserves it. (You know who else thinks Alan Arkin is a brilliant actor? Alan Tudyk. *smiles the smile of the truly geeky*)
Also, happy birthday the-raphos! Hope you had a good day, and are going to have a good year! How old did you just turn anyway?
Oh, and Rufus Sewell is up for an Olivier, too, woodsong_1978 informed me. This is a interview of his that demonstrates pretty much everything I love about him. And oh, do I love him. I've got it in my head that he needs to play Oberon.
