I decided to ramble as I watched...

This is what Joey usually gets live, without understanding half of it since she hasn't followed previous seasons of Alias. Now you can feel for her.

- Weiss is not at her funeral. How wrong is that? Weiss isn't here.
- That said, very much like how Sydney's speech and Nadia's funeral contrasts with Renée's autopsy.
- Oh, yay, we're going to see Vaughn. ..."Special Guest Star David Anders" yay! For real this time.
- Rachel's asking Tom out? Wait, isn't she a lesbian anymore? Oh, no, okay, death angst. Blah blah blah Rachel. You didn't even know Nadia. UNLIKE WEISS.
- Gina come back! I didn't need more Jennifer Garner. Anna's well written, but. God.
- Oh, brilliant. Nadia visions. *eyefuckingroll*
- I'm going to spend this whole episode waiting for Sark to arrive, aren't I. ...oh I can't wait for him to meet Anna again.
- Marshall. I miss you, Marshall. I feel like I haven't really seen him in months. ..."we're out of coffee"? Oh, Marshall, I love you.
- Way to go, random bad guy. Shoot your colleague. Why must the bad guys always be so dramatically incompetent? (Aka Sark get here already. No, really.)
- Oh please tell me Sydney's dead. I'm sorry, I know, she's the heroin, everybody loves her, but she's grown boring and I'd rather she was dead than boring. Maybe Rachel couldn't stand the loss and would off herself, too. One stone, two birds. It would be a great way to go for the rest of the show, and still keep Jennifer Garner around.
- You know, no matter how boring Vaughn can be, he looks good. The scruff's a good look on him. Now, ya think he'll figure it out? Bored bored bored, can Sark get here yet?
- And obviously she's not dead, because she has fireproof skin! Yay Sydney!
- So Nadia's just here for boring exposition talk and crap psychological points. Blah. She's better than this, people!
- Is Anna going to cut Vaughn open? Oh yay! Alias turns me into a sadist, yes it does.
- SMG did such a better job at being Faith-in-Buffy's-body than Jen at Anna-looking-like-Sydney.
- When the fuck does Sark get here? Oh tell me the book protocole was for Sark, pretty please.
- "I knew he couldn't be dead!" Oh, Marshall. You're such a Vaughn fanboy.
- "I'll follow your lead"? Vaughn, Sydney would never follow your lead. *re.pea.ted. facepalm!*
- You know what a much better way to use Nadia would have been? If they'd copied her and were now trying to make Sloane crazy. Instead of this crap.
- Anna, shoot! Shoot, shoot, shoot! Damnit, no clip. Which really means yay Vaughn for figuring it out! Heee! He has no qualms about hitting a girl that looks like his girlfriend yay! I actually kinda like Vaughn right now. Possibly because it looks like he's kicking Sydney's ass.
- Damn-fucking-it! I was hoping Sark was the one that just shot Anna. That would've been kick-ass, and a very good revealing shot. Sark being all ambiguous-flexible-loyalties and having rescued Vaughn(possibly for Weiss, among other reasons) and oh the interaction between those two.
- Alright, Sloane at church, can we see Sark at long fucking last? Sark! Sark! Sark! Sark! Saaaaaaaaaaaaark! Heeee he looks so good. *tackles him to the ground* *gets a gun pressed to her pulse point for all her trouble*

Right. I'm starting to like Sloane again, in his manipulativeness. Not so much the Nadia visions and the psychological BS. But the manipulating everyone, Patton first and foremost? Gets a yay. And bringing us Sark back also ingratiates him with me, because I'm fucking easy.

It saddens me that they did the contrary of what I was gunning for - killed Anna and kept Sydney to go undercover - but I'm not exactly surprised. Also, woe, because Sark will never meet Anna-looking-like-Syd.

And can I care less about Tom and his secrets? I'm afraid that next week will prove me that I actually can.

I did think Mike had been very hasty in "killing" Cynthia. I mean. What's her name? Libby. Libby. Right. Who, I'm sorry, I can't care about. I'm still sad Analucia's dead, though. I like Michelle Rodriguez, okay?

Also, for once Kate didn't annoy me so much, and OH GOD SAWYER IS SO UNDERRATED (by other characters, not fandom) and I find it fascinating to see Jack and him evolve and oh god oh god oh god when Sawyer held Kate? Brilliant. That's my man.

That said, I love Eko, but I'm getting more and more scared of him. The way I was scared of Locke at the end of last season. He and Locke seem to have swapped places since the beginning of S2, and I'm not liking it - probably mostly because it feels fake, and like they don't really know where they're going with these characters, because it hasn't been brought forth well enough, and subtly enough over the course of several episodes. It's too much "all at once Eko's all with the creepy faith and Locke's all with the doubts and yet he still believes in the Boone sacrifice." Besides, I distrust faith when it makes you do those sorts of nonsensical things (like sacrificing Boone). And I'm only mildly caring about the whole Pearl thing. A bit intrigued by in whose hands Locke's scribbled map ended up, though, I'll admit. Anyway. I'm becoming wary of Eko.

How many episodes are there this season?

alias, lost
