I'm new here, but not new to either a)my fandoms or b)my cleaning (heck i just did the bathroom today). I am pretty good with cleaning, but I have a problem.

Wheeeee! A QUESTION! )

I'd think you could just use a recommendation from any previous job, not just a cleaning one.

i've not been allowed to work *professionally* (i'm only 21) (don't shoot me!) and haven't had a previous job.

But i'll get a recommendation from a former professor. Would that do?

I'd think so. Many employers are used to hiring people straight out of high school/college, people who haven't worked before. Maybe even a short letter from a family friend/neighbor? And just tell the potential employer that this will be your first real job.

supposedly i have to pay to be bonded. That's what my father says, at least.

And i have another problem: i've never been allowed to work before because i've been in school. :P

aggghhhh.

Well, speaking as a supervisor, I can say that they are probably less interested in your cleaning experience, since they will most likely train you to do the job the "Merry Maids" way, and are more concerned with your character and reliability. I'd suggest you list either former bosses (even if the work was unrelated, you still had to be there on time and be reliable) or mature, unrelated person who can attest to your personality, maybe a friend of the family or a teacher.

Good Luck!
