Sike, that was a mean thing to say. I feel the same way Jamie does. I feel really bad for the parents. As for the kid, I can't feel bad for him because well...he's dead. Here's what I think:

The kid was an eagle scout. He had a family breakfast discussing his grades. His parents were probably hard-asses (whatever, normal thing for most). Volunteer firefighter, decent hearted kid. It just sounds like the kid probably kept to himself most of the time. Usually you'll see interviews from the kid's closest friends in these articles, but this one is missing that part. I just think he was probably a confused and lonley kid that didn't make a very good choice.

But whatever. I'm not gonna stick around and try to figure out what happened, why it happened, and how it should've happened. It happened and we'll never know why. I'm almost 100% positive something else was going on at the time, that had nothing to do w/ grades. But like I said...it's done, it sucks...wasn't any of my friends so there's nothing really to think about.

As for the 3rd world country quote. That was a little farfetched. Try to keep your arguments somewhat related to the topic of the point you're arguing against. I think there are a shit ton of people around here that have it worse than people in 3rd world countries for multiple reasons.

yes high-school is a joke. But I dont think anyone can honestly tell me that at some time when you were still in high school, it didnt feel like it meant the whole world to you. Sometimes kids loose sight of the future. Obviously something isnt right with the kid for him to take his life. I feel bad for everyone involved, especially the other kids at the school.

If it was a reply to me, I don't know what you're saying...but yeah I agree about the losing sight of the future, all that...I'm just saying, the whole situation sucked, but we'll never know the full story.

But yeah, as for the other kids at the school...god damn, if I watched a kid blow his head off 6 feet in front of me in the middle of a school hallway. Eep.

when stan becomes a "goth kid" because his girlfriend dumped him, and they sit around talking about how much their lives suck and calling everyone conformist.....then kyle comes along and gives them the line about being in a 3rd world country. making it related because stan thought about "darkness" and suicide over the tiny fact his girlfriend left him, and from the article all we know is the kid got bad grades and his parents threaten him by taking away his eagle scout duties. both seem rather simple things to want to kill yourself over

If you ever try to compare something that happened in real life, to something that happened in South Park ever again, and try to say it's right because it was in South Park...I don't even know Amis...I don't even know.

But dude...I still think I would've survived.
