Over two months since my last entry...typical
New Soul Eater mood theme! :D Thanks to kawaii_madoushi at the Shibusen LJ comm. ^^
I've been back in school for about four weeks now, but it feels like way longer. XP But that's typical of the first month back. Classes have been fine. I feel like I'm doing a better job of managing my homework and such so far this year than last year, which is cool. I finally have Art on my schedule now (I tried to get it last year, but they didn't give me it for some reason :/) and I'm still in the band (though really only because my mom wants me to continue it >.>). A friend of mine wants me to join the Comic Illistration club, which starts on Wednesday after school and is now operated by him. I figure I'll check it out for the heck of it. :P But yeah, so far school has been alright. :)
Tonight there's going to be a play at school at 7:00, and I have to watch. Yeah, have to. My Lit & Comp teacher has given us an assignment relating to the play. It's called Antigone, and it's an old Greek tragedy. I predict that everyone is going to die, either by murder or suicide. :D
And...I guess that's about it for now!
EDIT: Aaaaand I just got back from the play. As predicted, everyone died. But at least it wasn't by murder or suicide. Not directly, anyway. Basically there are these two brothers fighting for the throne that both kill each other in battle, and their uncle takes over as king. He buries one of the brothers, but forbids the proper burial of the other. (Apparently in ancient Greece, not giving a proper burial to a person would anger the gods.) So, the dead brother's sister, Antigone, decides to bury the body anyway, despite her sister's protests. And then a bunch of stuff happens and all the main characters die except the king. Unless you could the elder warrior guys as main characters. They were on stage a lot...
But all in all I had a good time. I saw my friends and stuff. And the actors in the play were talented. The theatre is kind of fun, really. :3
