When did simple human interactions turn into self-defense? We're waging an internal war on ourselves and its poisoning our minds, killing us slowly-
slowly, but faster than we'd like to think. When did self-preservation become a way of life? It's always hide, run away, don't get too close, no wait, come back and then they're gone. Wipe the slate clean,
lather.
rinse.
repeat.
We're digging ourselves a nice little hole, someplace dark where we can go and curl up in the fetal position and feel safe. No one can touch you there But, no one can touch you there. When did small talk become an acceptable form of communication? I'm not interested in what you have, I'm interested in who you are but when you break it down for me- I guess I lose interest. We're each given a set of building blocks, a foundation on which to form a personality but instead people waste all-their-time. trying to keep others from seeing what they're made of and never make anything. of. themselves...
And we reproduce by the billions, fucking and fucking and teaching our children that the only way to survive is to be very very afraid-all of the time. So interaction becomes self-defense. Don't forget, they are out to get you after all. and we're all walking in circles and we're watching our backs, and we're watching our step and we're watching your face for that hint of a condescending smile that we pretend not to see out of the corner of our eye...
