paranormal activity 2; thriller, horror. when a sequel comes along the natural thing to do is to compare it to the previous offering and in this instance i much preferred the first one. that doesn't or shouldnt take anything away from this one coz if i watched this one first it would (if i was horror with a small `h`) scare the crap out of me but

Bad news: the third one is due out this October, so it's likely to become the next Saw franchise and run into the ground horribly.

Oddly I preferred this one over the first one BUT I did not see the first one in theaters and I went to theaters for this one, which really made the experience scarier to me. I have been meaning to watch it again, at home, to see if it was really scary or if I jumped bc ppl in the audience screamed. There was some pretty creepy stuff in this one though (all fake, of course lol). The first one just didn't get to me bc you never saw anything happen and the acting was painful to watch lol
