movies- ripple effect

Ripple effect, drama/thriller: forest whitaker wooes me again. This wasn’t a horror by any stretch. This was subtle, gentle and nice and will leave you feeling a kind of warm glow though the ending left me puzzled a little, not because I’m stupid but because it seemed more blatant, bolder and possibly rushed than the rest of the film which sometimes went to lengths to show you its insides. There was at least another 10 minutes of this beautiful subtlety and gentleness left in here but it just wasn’t squeezed all the way through. That isn’t a bad thing you understand, in fact it’s probably good. Would be suitable for an early evening with someone nice.
outstanding performances by philippe caland (who also wrote and directed this)
and forest whitaker. 80/100 IMDB
