Chart wonkiness -- possible ovulation CD14?

Sep 12, 2013 10:54

Some of you probably remember me from my last post. I haven't gotten that issue fully resolved yet, since I'm waiting to see if I can detect ovulation (can't replace my thermometer battery until tomorrow when I get paid). The latest I've ever ovulated during my year of tracking is CD18 (which is today for me), but normal is between CD13-CD16. I'm looking at my chart this month and wondering if I didn't ovulate on CD14 this month. I know it's hard to pinpoint because of all my open circles (my sleep has been crazy since last month due to stress I think, but I've adjusted my waking time to hopefully counteract it for next month and get things back on track), and I've only been focusing on BBT with a cursory glance at CM as it appears on my underwear (which is usually easy for me to interpret as it stops showing up on my underwear after ovulating; I do it this way because it always feels and looks the same to me when I actually "go in and get it").

Past couple of days I've had lightly sore breasts, which is normal for me after ovulation (and the soreness is on the sides, which I read recently means you've ovulated? I don't know if there's any truth to that whatsoever, but I have noticed that my breast soreness does tend to localize there after ovulation so I guess there might be something to it). Yesterday and the two days before I saw an increase in CM; not sure about today yet as it's early still. Here's the kicker though: I can't see a very clear thermal shift. Normally my temperature is like "oh hi, we're way down here at the bottom of your chart because you've ovulated" and then shoots up dramatically and hangs out there for about 14-16 days. My chart this month seems like it could go either way. :/ What are your thoughts? (And sorry to keep posting about my chart wonkiness -- I tend to drive myself crazy thinking about babies all the time, so I'm trying to keep my brain from that track til the appropriate time; it's why I'm also avoiding taking a pregnancy test in spite of the fact that my temperatures are still slightly elevated after my last (what seemed to be to be perfectly) normal period.

My chart. Make of it what you will.
