Okay guys, help me out ;)
I'm 3 months postpartum and got ol' AF back at about 11 weeks. (whoopee, for breastfeeding...didn't postpone the first cycle like I'd hoped)
Okay, but here's the thing:
6 weeks pp: finally stopped with the lochia.
9 weeks pp: light bleeding for about 4 days. pinkish to brown. pantiliner required.
11 weeks pp: heavy bleeding -- definitely AF. pink to bright red, the usual stuff.
13 weeks pp: light bleeding for about 4 days. pink to red. plus ewcm. lots of it. pantiliner required.
So. Here I'm assuming that at 9 weeks and 13 weeks I'm having ovulatory bleeding. I'm not back to charting yet because of the BF'ing and the erratic sleep, so I'm just kind of paying attention to patterns, but my question is really this:
Does ovulatory bleeding last several days like that? I thought it was just going to be a spot on the toilet paper and wow, that's it. But I'm having to wear a pantiliner for several days in a row? Surely this is not normal. For the record, I didn't have ovulatory spotting before I got pregnant. Also for the record, I "probably had" PCOS (was taking metformin when I got pregnant) and am significantly overweight still. Ya never know if that info's important.
I have a call out to my doc's office but won't hear back from them for a couple days probably, so I thought I'd throw it out there. Thanks :)
