I just recently realised how long it's been since I sat down and wrote about something at length, which is shameful, because I'm going back to school in almost exactly a month, and also because I think I'd like to write more professionally, too, eventually. So!:
(
harry potter 7B / harry potter feelings in general )
you are perfect and make sense and have BULLET POINTS unlike my ramblyass entry and honestly, i think The Prince's Tale was really well put together, it's just the fans who are getting all melodramatic over it. It got to me a lot more in the book, but in the movie I was prepared for it, and honestly it seemed less impactful in the movie because it's a montage you see in like, five minutes, but it's a good fifteen minute read as a chapter in the book.
And you know, words. They can be so sad.
I ACTUALLY THOUGHT MCGONAGALL WAS SENDING THE SLYTHERINS TO THE DUNGEONS FOR SAFETY PURPOSES. it might have been funny and all in the moment you watch it, but i kind of saw it as mcgonagall knowing that voldy's going to try getting the slytherin kids over and she wanted them safe. and if they were going to be a danger to harry and those on dumbledore's side, they were better of in the dungeons and ALIVE as opposed to being taken in by the death eaters and KILLING THEIR PEERS.
my recent discovery (Well i've known for a while, but have had it confirmed online) that mcgonagall played quidditch makes me want to know more about her life. i mean, her youth must have been something, considering she's been through two wars and still continues to teach students, and she's known all these great wizards and witches and she has all these beliefs! I WANT HOGWARTS, A HISTORY, DAMMIT.
...but if it's a war, there needs to be a lot of death eaters. I THINK YOU MEAN TO SAY THERE WERE TOO MANY PEOPLE ON HIS SIDE? i like to believe that not everyone on Voldy's side is a death eater. there might be people who believe him and all and fight on his side, but they are not death eaters. Example being Narcissa. Narcissa's on Voldy's side because of Lucius. God knows how many people there were who were forced to be on Voldy's side purely because they were expected to, or because they knew a Death Eater etc, etc. When I think of the whole battle, I was honestly quite okay with the numbers. You should watch Lord of the Rings battles, seriously. You wonder how Sauron made so many Orcs and other creatures. But it's a war, and there will be people on both side, and in these cases, creatures too!
I ACTUALLY THOUGHT IT WAS AWFUL OF YATES OR WHOEVER TO NOT MAKE RON HUG HARRY BEFORE HE GOES OFF TO THE FOREST. HERMIONE THROWS HERSELF ONTO HIM, BUT RON JUST STANDS THERE LOOKING STUNNED. I KNOW THESE BOYS DON'T CONFESS THEIR LOVE AND CONCERN FOR EACH OTHER LIKE HERMIONE DOES, BUT REALLY? RON WOULD HAVE SHOWN A LITTLE MORE EMOTION I'M SURE. HE WOULD HAVE GIVEN HARRY A MANLY PAT OR SOMETHING NONONO THEY WOULD HAVE HUGGED IT OUT, BITCHES. YOUR BEST FRIEND IN THE WORLD IS GOING TO MARCH OFF TO A STRANGE FOREST TO BE KILLED BY THE GUY YOU WANT DEAD AND WHO SPLIT THE WORLD, THAT SEEMS LIKE A GOOD TIME TO BE EMOTIONAL AND HUG PEOPLE AND LET THE TEARS SPILL.
i clearly am not over these movies or books ro anything. :D I NEVER WILL BE.
