Perfect choice. I would choose Community as well (Glee is too wildly consistent and frustrating to get the slot). I initially wasn't all that interested because it seemed like your average sitcom, but I decided to watch it for Joel McHale. I've been pleasantly surprised all season with how unique the show is in terms of its comedic stylings.
Glee wasn't even in the running! Its highs didn't collide with any of my favourite shows (this season)'s lows - I'm beginning to realise it wasn't really for me after all. I feel bad for blabbing about it as much as I have, though.
I ♥ Community! It tries so hard and does such big things, crazy and out-there, and I love that it tries. I also love the characters they've shaped and the way they are with each other - it makes me happy.

In the beginning it was totally and completely up my alley. Subversive comedy! With musical numbers! Weee! But now it's just so completely literal and unironic with the execution of its storylines with an added dose of inconsistency and lack of character development on top that it's hard to fathom that it's even the same show that I fell in love with after watching the Pilot. Watch, I'll still be watching in the fall. Because apparently I need something to get indignant about, and my other shows just make me too happy or something.
YAAAAY Community!! But yay for Modern Family too, because while I've seen less of that, it's pretty damn hilarious too. Community makes fun of itself in such marvelous ways; the snarky humor totally works for me. And, y'know, Joel. <3333
