After Inception, the movie I'm looking forward to the most this year? Scott Pilgrim vs the World! IT WILL BE AN EPIC OF EPICNESS, DO YOU SEE?
There's that cast list, where even Michael Cera doesn't make me feel too anxious yet (of course I'm ignoring Mr Blandface Brandon Routh). It's also based on a comic series!!
PLUS THERE'S DIRECTOR EDGAR WRIGHT! I love, love, love his style. Shaun of the Dead is easily in my Top 5 Movies of All Time (really.), and I really fucking adore Spaced, and a big, big part of the reasons for those is his directing style. It's fun, unique, smart, and so interesting. He does something so different with his material and yet knows to keep it balanced, so we don't get overwhelmed or start getting annoyed with it all. I am madly in love with it, and I think he is, in general, a fantastically geeky person (and his conversations with Simon Pegg on Twitter are usually the highlights of my week), so I love him a lot.
Anyway, the reason I'm posting this is that THE TEASER TRAILER IS OUT!!! Look at that, oh my god. Even Cera looks like he's going to be something different!!! I'm getting so excited about it this is really just stupid.
