(no subject)
so i wanted to update about my new job. haha, it's really funny to me.
so today was my 4th day. going to bed every night around 11, always before 12, and waking up at 8 has been weird enough. but the job itself has had a few moments. i just can't imagine how i'm going to think of this place in even a year. i want to stick with it for awhile but i just think i'm going to have either the most like fucked up, creeped out kind of out look or i'll feel like a robot that is just doing the same job every day. i don't know, i'm getting ahead of myself, but anyways let me tell you about the umm i guess "highlights" so far...really just the weirdest things that have happened...
a guy shat himself today. he told the tech that he needed to use the restroom and while i guess (brian) was getting the gauze to unstick him the guy just shat himself and when brian came over to unstick him he told him it was too late and so decided he would just sit in it and finish his donation to get his full amount of $ and now there is a shit stained bed. hmm
the first day though might have been one of the most surreal experiences i've ever had. i was just standing there observing my surroundings when i realized i was in a room full of people laying on beds hooked into machines that were pumping out their "precious bodily fluids" for money. for like 30 bucks that they were most likely going to spend on cigarettes, food, maybe booze or harder forms of addiction. it was also my first day that people noticed my plugs...donators...and made faces of disgust and horror when i showed them my holes without plugs. when they asked if it hurt i said "not as much as having a needle in your arm...do you think that hurts?!" "does eating hurt when you don't have teeth" (ok i might have crossed a line there).
ok i kind of drifted off there and lost my train of thought. it's almost my bedtime. hope you enjoyed...i mean c'mon do people shit themselves at your work!? i didn't think so.
