Rented some movies over the weekend: Suicide Club and Saw 2. (Yea I know...I never got to see the 2nd one, k??)
Suicide Club
It's supposedly a remake of an American movie called Heathers. I liked it though, but it's definitely a wild one. I heard it was a good movie so I decided to rent it. Parts of it, of course, are a little extreme/gory/weird from time to time, but look at the title...(and hey, it's asian XD)
That and it's one of those movies with a message. I can't think of exactly what they're called but Pulse (originally made in Japan) was also made as a movie to get Japanese society's attention as well as DarkWater and a bunch of other ones. The Grudge was originally made over there too now that I think about it (damn American filmmakers, get your own ideas and stop dumbing down originals!) Or both films just take each other's films...Hrm....*bum bum bum...* Ya know, the same thing Michael Moore did with Fahrenheit 9/11 and the guy that made Supersize Me! But at least with theirs, they did it themselves, not just took an original and hacked it to pieces and totally taking the message out of it.
It's kind of funny that some of those films are about how evil technology is, but lol what country basically makes prolly almost all it's money off technology? Which one is the most technologically advanced? XD
But moving on...
Saw 2
Pretty boring. Crappy acting. Everyone dies one at a time. I liked the first one but this one wasn't all that good. Not very scary and pretty predictable with a recycled ending...If you've ever seen Mindhunters, do parts of this movie remind you of Saw 2??? Like the same amount of people, the unknowing, the same 3 characters in almost every movie: the paranoia, the whore and the naive. and the least expected lunatic turning out to be the killer. Especially the "twist" at the end? I wonder if the third one is gonna be any good or if this will end up like Nightmare on Elm Street and Jason...Saw 47-c...or some crap like that.
oh, and lego star wars 2 is love.
