So since my last post the one wedding in January has grown to 3 weddings now 'tis the season I suppose. Meh, always the bridesmaid, never the bride. ;p
Had a lovely picnic at the Manukau Botaniccal Gardens last weekend. I haven't been there before and I must say its a gorgeous hidden gem. Lovely landscaping with little lakes and streams. It really felt like it would be a great place for a vintage themed garden party.
Also saw Avatar in 3D over then weekend and was well impressed. I've seen alot of criticism over story/plot originality but I thinked thats a bit unfair, as I certainly found it enjoyable and engaging. But its the technical aspects of the film I was blown-away by - 3D has come a long way and I felt myself being immersed in the film, occasionally reaching out to brush away the bugs flying around the forest. Its well worth seeing.
