I just got back from the polls. We had an epic ballot this time, with 22 City propositions, and 12 state propositions, and about a dozen people for various boards and offices.
Notably:
Prop 1A: Funding for highspeed rail. (2 hrs from here to LA at 200+ mph)
Prop 8: Ban gay marriage. Since it's legal right now, a NO vote would cement it's legality.
Prop H: Public power. Down with PG&E.
Prop K: Decriminalize prostitution.
Prop R: Rename the sewage treatment plant "George W. Bush Sewage Plant."
Obviously there are bunch more, but most of them are sort of boring. Anyway, let's see how this goes tonight! Go vote.
