I'm working on building a new bicycle. It excites me. Should be lighter, slimmer, faster, and sleeker. I am joining the trendy crowd of hardcore bike geeks and building a fixed gear with a flip/flop to single speed. I need a helmet. Riding my bicycle around the city is the most fun I have all day. My skateboard sits dustily by my front door. I gaze at it wistfully from time to time, wishing it had the capability to lay down the miles like my Univega.
Still no smoking. I have lost 15 lbs. I now weigh a svelte 184lbs, which is down from 199lbs. I just calculated my BMI, and it says I am just barely overweight. I laugh. Then I read the disclaimer "It may overestimate body fat in athletes and others who have a muscular build." I'm not saying I'm an athlete at the moment, but all the throwing bathtubs around at work has definately increased my muscle mass. When we add in the 10-30 miles a day on a bicycle, we aren't talking about an overweight Phillip here.
I will be moving, again, in June or July. Chris, Lydia, and I are all going to get a nice 3 bedroom flat in an old victorian somewhere. At least we damn well better, because that's what I want. I am tired of moving, and want somewhere resonably affordable near work, school, and life. Anywhere in the North-East quarter of town will do fine.
Life is dandy.
