top chef, season 4, episode 8, "common threads"
now, normally, i wouldn't post episodes of this show, just because it's a reality show, though top chef, along with most of the other reality shows on bravo, is far better than most other fare in the genre.
what i really liked about this episode was the charity that the chefs worked with, common threads, which teaches children about the value of nutrition and the importance of eating meals together with their families.
additionally, part of that challenge was to make a meal for a family of four with only a budget of ten dollars. and i know that most of us are struggling in one way or another in these times of economic fuckery.
