Oh, Canada...
I just wanted to get this off my chest.
It really bugs me how the media here in Canada likes to portray this country as paradise on Earth and that we're living right next door to Hell. I'm referring to an article in our local paper today that discussed what's called "taser parties." The last line of the article says "Let's leave the hawking of dangerous weapons to our neighbors to the south."
Excuse me...that was a completely unnecessary remark. And on the front page of the very same paper
is a headline about a youth being stabbed near a local shopping mall. Guess what...we have dangerous weapons in Canada too, it seems. That's what I mean when I say a lot of Canadians look at this country as being perfect and childishly point fingers and take cheap shots at the US.
So I'd like to apologize to my online American friends for the atitude that unfortunately is all too common up here. Canada is 140 years old, but it seems we still have a lot of growing up to do.
