"Unbelievable," she mutters as Eddie swipes his room key behind her with a laugh.
Her eyes barely have time to adjust to the dimmer lighting in his room before he pounces on her like the complete opposite of the nice young man the geriatric population was fawning over less than a minute ago. In the time it takes for her to fumble around in the dark for the DO NOT DISTURB sign, Eddie has managed to slide his hand up her dress. It takes her a moment to register the shrill sound of "Seize the Day" from Newsies as her ringtone before she hisses, "Shit, that's my agent."
"Ignore it," he groans and it's so, so tempting when he's looking at her like he's thinking of something dirtier than she is, but her agent is nothing short of persistent. Felicity's phone alternates between rings and the short beep of her agent texting her to pick up her goddamn phone.
"This will take two seconds," Felicity promises, swatting his hand away from her bra straps. She takes a deep breath and exhales slowly, willing her voice not to sound sex-starved before she hits the green button on her screen.
"Where the fuck have you been, Jones?" the other woman's irritated voice blasts into her ear at a volume Felicity didn't think the tiny device was capable of producing.
"I was, uh, at a meeting," Felicity quickly lies as Eddie starts to kiss down the opposite jawline.
"They need an answer on the Hawking thing."
"Tell her you're meditating," he whispers, earning a playful shove from her.
"Is that Eddie?" her agent asks with trepidation. "Oh, honey."
It's really hard to concentrate when Eddie's working on leaving a hickey on her neck with that massive mouth of his, but she mumbles something about agreeing to do the stupid movie before ending the call and tossing her phone in the general direction of the bedside table. She rolls over and straddles his hips, her tiny hands pinning his wrists to the mattress as she leans an inch away from his face and huffs that she hates him so much.
"That was longer than two seconds. I got impatient," he answers. Eddie is all teeth and tongue and roaming hands and, really, could anyone blame her for being pulled into his nefarious web of clearly Oscar bait projects after that? As he lifts his head up to kiss her, Felicity vaguely wonders if Dirt Devil will ask Eddie to be their spokesman once the award season is over.
THIS IS TOO MUCH FOR ME. My reaction to this is probably going to be my entire state of being once filming/the film itself/the press tour gets going omgggg. But this is just so legitimately charming and delightful I don't even know what to do with myself. DIRT DEVIL SHOULD ASK HIM ABOUT SPONSORSHIP HAHA and omg of course Felicity agreed to the project because she was interrupted from banging her future co-star! Also all their dialogue here is so golden I couldn't even begin to select favorites, but their banter gives me SUCH LIFE (as do the tweets ahhhhh; also MAYNESTREAM #always).

This makes me want to revisit the glory that was our rom-com AU hahaha. AND FOR THAT, I THANK YOU, AND THANK YOU FOR THIS! Totally made my night haha.
I don't even want to think about my existence once the filming pics start to crop up. (False. That is all I want to think about.) Dude, maybe the Hawking biopic will be like our rom-com AU minus the dinosaur t-shirts and cockblocking children! OH MY GOD, SOMEONE CAST CHASTAIN AND COSTER-WALDAU IN THIS, PLEASE.
