I was writing my stuff the other night as I rewatched the movie (after reading the book, which... UGH IS SO MUCH BETTER THAN THAT GOD AWFUL MOVIE) and I thought about how much I fucking hated Blake Lively in the O role and how SHITTY it was written in the movie as compared to the book, so I started recasting it in my brain. And JGL as Ben is a no-brainer for me. And EVERYTHING stars Tom Hardy in some capacity for me lately, and he TOTALLY makes sense in my mind as Chon. And Jessica Chastain can do anything. SO YEAH.

The movie is TERRIBLE. TERRIBLE. Don't even bother, it's not worth it. Blake really ruins it. It's funny you mention her enunciation because OH MAH GAWD, her voiceovers are. the. FUCKING. WORST. One of my favourite parts of the book was ruined by her need to overact and be ~~~SEXY or something. UGH. Aaron Johnson is actually pretty damn good in this and I normally find his REVOLTING. No overstatement there.
LOL. HOMELAND. 1. okay so the funeral for a sitting VP is at the CIA? And the president doesn't attend? 2. the CIA AND the Secret Service are okay with that fucking car just sitting there? RIGHT. 3. LOL BRODY LOOKING OUT THE WINDOW AND MENTIONING HIS CAR WAS JUST THE STRAW ON THE CAMEL'S BACK. The fact that Carrie could just GET AWAY with him and then fucking GET BACK IN WHEN THEY ALL WOULD HAVE KNOWN SHE WAS AT THE ORIGINAL BOMBING??????? WHAT IS THIS LOGIC?! Fuckkkk.
Sigh. It saddens me that they've already fucked up Quinn with these inexplicable feelings. LOL him threatening Estes for her. So. Terrible.
Oh god no. Don't watch the movie. It is AWFUL. I find Aaron Johnson SUPER repugnant, but he was actually GOOD in this role. It's the only time I've found him even moderately appealing. Blake Lively, however, was fucking. awful. Especially given that her character was AMAZING in the book and they turned her into some Serena shit in the movie. AND they added in rape times in the movie for no fucking discernible reason.
Read the book. The book is fucking AWESOME and you can just imagine the characters as Hardy, Chastain and JGL. And yes, there's a threesome. And the book is just... IDK, there's awesome sex and violence and UGH SO MUCH OT3 GOODNESS. It's like the dude is a fic writer.
