Lawless. Forrest/Maggie, the fallout from the scene where Maggie admits going back for him. (Possibly while she's doing what she promised not to do.) OH MY HEART.
That scene. Everyone laughed at that line in my theatre, then when she couldn't look at him and he kept pressing her and then he just KNEW... yeah, it felt like someone ripped my heart out of my chest, mortal kombat style.
right? and then everyone laughed when he was dancing by the lake and slipped in and started limping away; then as soon as the narrative said he would die of pneumonia everyone went "ah noooo". guh I got to go buy the novel. I have so many more details I want answered.
