It was just... nice? And no dating, not yet, just a kind of understanding that The Talk was imminent and important and that was so great. The last line was such a killer, dude. The line stuck inside my stomach the first time I read that draft you sent and I was so pleased to see it used again. I WANNA SEE IT AGAIN, ETC.
I'm so tired right now that all I can really say is: I really ship them and I really liked this fic of course of course of course but this is not really how I want to see them happen (and like, we won't! Of course! We won't see it unfold this way!) but I was saying to Sisi that I love this technical "AU" verse you've created for them to fall into post-wedding and I love that the show isn't going down that route because that means I have no idea what is going to happen! How is the show going to take care of these two? It obviously likes them! But how much? These things and more we need to discuss!
So. Yeah. Super hot. Super Nick. Nick is super. Jess has grown on me so much, I totally didn't mind reading this in Zooey D's voice. AND SCHMIDT. All the references I screamed about on IM! I will about them some more tomorrow! This was super excellent and I've run out of adjectives I think. (Tired.)

And yes! Nice! That's what I was thinking too while I was writing it, and idk, I don't see these two as making an easy transition to Traditional Dating or whatever, but I liked the idea of ending it where their own weird semblance of Actual Dating is up there on the horizon? Hahaha.
Ugh, I ship them hard too. WHAT HAVE OUR LIVES BECOME! And LOL we are literally having a conversation about this right now, but you know I totally agree! I am way curious to see what direction this show is going to take these two since I feel it's pretty obvious that they're planning on going down this road hahaha. But yes! AU! I LIVE FOR AU VERSES!
