rpf. it is a question of categories, of placing each thing in its rightful slot; the two of them belong somewhere (it just probably isn't here). keira knightley/james mcavoy. 1982 words. pg-13
I cannot begin to explain how much I love the way you paint these two, in their own right and when they're sharing space and interacting. It's so much of what's not said, the body language, letting their sexy bodies do all the talking, hee ;) I particularly like the image of Keira and the way she sits, so unladylike for such a pretty young thing. I love it.
(And I actually remember that article about Rupert and how he was all, "I don't care if he's married, who would give up a chance to sleep with Keira fucking Knightley?" I mean, yeah, but what an asshole.)
HAHA! That image alone is enough to make my night, lol.
But thank you, love! I can't get over how much fun I have writing these two. Like, seriously. It's borderline criminal, haha. And Keira Knightley - for all her beauty and grace has the worst posture I have ever seen, haha. Watching her in some interviews makes me want to yell at her - sit up straight! In all seriousness though - I am so, so glad you enjoyed this. And I'm sure, knowing me and this bizarre love I have for them, there will be more. Oh, yes. Much more.
(I know, right? I mean, it's true, but still. ASS. And he's totally a poor man's (woman's?) Orlando Bloom. For serious. And that's not a particularly good thing).
I love this take on how ridiculous interviewers get about people who have on-screen romances. The line about Regis and Kelly was especially great, given how stupid she acts towards anyone with an accent (did you see the interview Hugh Laurie did with them? It made me want to gauge out my eyes.)
I'm falling in love with your voices for both of them. I loved the scene where they're talking about the Sunday Mail because it was one of those conversations I love in romance stories, where they're friends but what they say to each other starts to blur the line. If that makes any sense at all.
(I have got to see this movie. For the love of God, why is it not out around here?)
Yay! I thought it would be fun to incorporate more than one perspective, and I am really glad I did!
Oh man, interviewers can just be so beyond ridiculous. Watching them makes me cringe - especially Regis and Kelly. And the accent thing! You are so right. I saw when they interviewed Keira and Kelly was wigging out about her accent. I haven't seen the Hugh Laurie one, but man, I can only imagine, haha.
Thank you so much! There is something ridiculously addictive and fun about writing these two, and I can't seem to stop, haha. And I am so glad the Sunday Mail scene came across as you described it! I love that in romances as well, the way normal interactions start to become tinged with something more and both parties are firmly aware of it. It's that building tension, and I am such a sucker for that, man.
Now! To write more!
(ME TOO. It is playing in the NEXT STATE OVER. I am not pleased.)
Oh dear, I saw your name and "RPF" in the same post on my flist and bounced with excitement. You corrupter, you!
Oookay. I love this. My favorite section is the one ending with The moments are stacking high between them. There are just so many brilliant lines in there. I also love the description of a kiss and how personal it is, that part was beautiful. The repeated imagery of the circles was great; there was a tangible tension throughout this whole piece. Wonderful job!
