hmm that might help huh? heh. it's a compaq, presario.. uhhhh.. lets pretend that i don't know how to find my model number... pretending, of course.. haha.
Ok, almost there! The Compaq logo or the word Presario should be fallowed by a series of numbers and passably letters, like: The "Compaq, Presario A 1234 B" It should be printed right on the laptop like a name, I need those numbers and letters. And one more thing, we have to make sure low memory is the problem, and not a hard drive full to the brim. Now don't worry, just go into "my computer" select the "C" drive, right click and go down to properties. You should see a figure for "Free Space". If you've got at least a gig or so, thats not a problem, and some more memory should really speed things up.
Mine runs really slow, too, and I still have a lot of space... I just don't have enough RAM. So, for me, everything that has a lot of graphics loading goes very, very slowly.
Hmm, as tempting (!) as it is, I suppose I have to be logical and ask how much it's going to set me back. I may have to wait until the fall, when I start work again.
Don't worry about it. It's the least I can do, consider it a belated birthday, anniversary, special occasion, gift. Make up for all the time I was "out of touch". Your new, one gig stick of RAM is on it's way.
Please don't be mad at me, I had a gift certificate I was never going to use, so it's not like it was real money anyway. But ether way it's done now. It will over double your memory, so you shouldn't have any problems with any sims game.
