Such a brain dead moment...
I was in a bit of a cranky mood the other day, and started to vent to my mother.
"There should be some nice, public place where I can sit and read and not have to buy a cup of coffee or bagel. Somewhere to just sit and read."
She looked at me a bit oddly, and told me that there are lots of places like that.
"Where?" I snapped back. "I don't see any around here. And I don't feel like driving far. I'm just bored sitting at home and would rather sit somewhere else." At this point, I'm even more cranky than when our conversation started.
Again, she looked at me, this time with a small, amused smile. "Brandi," she said calmly. "They are called libraries."
Yeah...I didn't really have a response to that, especially since between work and school, the majority of my days are spent thinking about libraries.
Oops.
