I took advantage of this well-deserved-and-desperately-needed holiday to enjoy myself :D And done so by watching all the episodes and OVAs available of... Kyou Kara Maou!!

Lol, that part was mainly for you ^^ I don't think anyone on my f-list watched KKM. But omg!!! -flails!!-

I dunno why, at the time the filler-ish episodes really did bug me but now I'm really itching to rewatch the whole thing again :D I think it's partly cuz I just wanted to see more Wolfram XD

And lol! Julia annoys me too!! Although not too much thankfully, she is such a Mary Sue (I couldn't find the correct word to describe her before!) I really do wonder what her relationship with Conrad was :) ... THIRD SEASON THIRD SEASON THIRD SEASON!!!!

What was the dragon thing? Is it the one with Eru (who I swear was a girl!)? Or with Alford? Thinking back now, most filler episodes weren't that bad... I think it was just I was trying to rush so much at the time ^^;

YUURAM!!! YAYAYAYAYAYAYAY!!! I'm disappointed there isn't much Wolfie time in the anime :( Far too much focus on Conrad and Yuuri's relationship -jealous fangirl >P - but I think it's still platonic (although it could be argued... argh!)

Lol! I've realised that the fandom seems to be obsessed with smuttiness :S I really want some fanfics with development of characters instead.

Oh I remembered, the thing that bugged me about KKM mainly is everyone's infatuation with Yuuri/Maou! I can understand it as a duty but it sort of downplays all other relationships :( Surely brotherly bonds are important too! (If I didn't know, I wouldn't have guessed Gwendal was related to Conrad and Wolfram at all!!)

Yes!!! Though since my f-list is so short I don't really have ANYone that shares my fandom. I mean, I only have like two PoT friends and one YGO friend (who, strangely enough, doesn't talk much about YGO anymore. ^^;)
And now I have someone who likes KKM! Yeay!!!!

XD Wolfram would want anyone want to watch it again. Too bad your little holiday is over though. And considering you watched the entire series including the OVA I can kinda see you watching the whole of the 78 - no - 81 episodes all over again. ^^;
I CAN'T WAIT till the next OVA comes out. Yozak's finally going to have a proper role (he's my near-joint second favourite character from the show) so I'm happy. Hoping for some ConradYozak moments...not sure if they will ever occur though. The anime focus more on everyone's relationship with Yuuri to be honest.

Yes, Conrad and Yuuri...is SO platonic. They're like father and son! Brotherly love for goodness's sake!!! Then again, considering the amount of people who likes incest out there...-_-. [I swear there are more Conrad and Wolfram fics out there than Conrad and Yozak...that's just WRONG!]
Ugh, worse thing is, Conrad's the author's favourite character. Gisela's a lot closer to Wolfram in the novels (apparently) and most Japanese fans (and thus doujinshi makers) prefer Conrad and Yuuri!!! It's just like 'NNNNNNNNNOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO'!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Thankfully most English fans like YuuriWolfram though, so there's plenty of fanfictions for us to read. XD
But I agree, there are SOOOOOOO much smuttiness and soooooooooo many NC-17s and stuff.
Frankly, I can't read them! I haven't even tried to be honest because those aren't the KKM fics I want to read. I want to read fics that reflect the series more I suppose. I know what you mean about the character development ones. They're SO hard to find. Thing is, I don't really like KKM fluff either (I don't tend to like fluff though...unless it's in the right amount) and I swear it's just one extreme to the other.
But goodness, I can't read KKM smut in any way shape or form. I mean, Yuuri's only 15!!!! Granted, so are the PoT boys (many of them being younger) but since there were originally meant to be high school boys anyways...actually, now that I think about it, I don't read PoT smut either. Not proper smut at any rate.
In fact, the only smut I can read is probaby YGO...(I blame the leather...and the buckles...^^;)

Yeay! Another person who dislikes Julia. To be honest, I don't think I would have disliked her if it weren't for all the episode she's in and how she's constantly mentioned and stuff. It just got a little boring after a while y'know? It was like, 'oh...not Julia again'.
I think she and Conrad were just really good friends. I really do think she loved Adelbert. [I also secretly like Adelbert and Gisela though...not enough to read fics...just enough to squeal slightly when they're together. ^^;]
Besides, Conrad obvious belongs to Yozak. XP

The brothers are my FAVOURITE!!! I love them. I love how they don't look anything like each other. XD And I love any episodes that have them as youngsters. [Chibi-Wolfram is just so cute!!!] The way Conrad cuddled up to his mother when his big brother was angry...KAWAIIIIIIIIIIIII!!!!
And since Yozak was part of Conrad's childhood...

Hm, that reminds me, Dan Hiri nearly became a character I got sick of. But since he didn't appear as much as Julia and any episodes with him gave us a glimpse of the three brothers' childhood, there are no animosity towards him at all. He's a good plot device. XD

I know, everyone loved Yuuri, that annoyed me too (lol, I'm puttng forth so much stuff that annoyed me...). I really wished more people fell for Wolfram! Then again, that hospital episode with all the patients was SO funny. ^_^

As for the dragon, I mean the first one, with Alford. Though I suppose it's really the first episode more than the second one. The whole 'you're not who I expected you to be' was great and all, but I am going to be a little shallow and I just really liked the action scenes and the YuurixWolfram-ness of it. XD

Btw, did you notice how the Original King looked less and less like Wolfram as the series went on? Not to mention his eye colour changed.

Argh...REALLY need to actually read the things I'm supposed to know for the test tomorrow. This is what happens when you don't do work when they ask you to. ^^;

Yozak yay! I love how he always shows up in costumes of various sorts when you least expect it. (Him winning the drag queen contest was so well deserved XD) Next OVA should be fantastic! Although I'm so so looking forward to the 5th one already, Sarageulie (whatever the prince's name is) seems like such a creepy character - but doesn't seem to be evil really. Hmmm :)

I can't stand incest. -Shudder- It's just... so wrong!! Although sometimes I can sort of understand... but eurgh... Conrad and Yuuri really are like brothers, or father/son. Hell! Conrad is Yuuri's godfather!! Though wouldn't that technically make Wolfram Yuuri's god-uncle, if there is such a thing XD.

Smuttiness. Ah well... Yuuri is definitely the seme (to my mind :D) but can we really expect him to lead?? It's kind hard to imagine him being possessive/jealous except if he's in Maou! mode :D Wolfram gets characterized too femininely for my liking too. Fussy =^^=
PoT's smuttiness is okay because the character all look like they're in their late teens anyway!!

I feel really sorry for Adelbert, he really did love Julia so much :(

Dan Hiri's a weird dude. Like you, I don't think much of him, but he did bring in some interesting past scenes. CHIBI-WOLFRAM!!! Gwendal was so cute when he was young too!! Conrad was adorable too ^_^ I would definitely want more development in the brotherly bonds. They're all so lovely in their own rights!

And OMG!! That hospital episode was fantastic! :D Lol, when Wolfram flipped his hair and turned his head. Angel of healing eh? ^_^ Poor Morgif didn't get any power...

I think the first dragon episode was one I skimmed through (it was the end of the first day lol, ie. 2am). Shallow or not, I'd squeal at all the Yuuram scenes anyway XD

Shinou and the Great Sage's relationship is certainly ah... interesting too. He's like an older, sexier, manlier version of Wolfram. I didn't really take much notice of him at first tbh ^^; Didn't realise he was going to become such a vital character later on... Oh that reminds me, I have a question! I thought the spirit was freed after the series, so how come it still came back in chibi-form in the OVAs??

PS! Yuuri and Conrad's relationship really reminds me of Gakuen Heaven's yaoi pair (names have escaped me). I remember not particularly liking that relationship... It just is too brotherly!!
