Alright guys, I need your help. I'm in the process of writing another Peterick fanfic. Omg I know, right!? So I've had this story idea in my head for a while. Actually I have a lot of story ideas. Actually I have a lot of story titles that inflict plots and ideas, but I've never been able to write any of them. Except for that last one, which was ( Read more... )

Thanx. I knew you'd have some ideas XD The title is actually what gave me the idea for the story. It's supposed to be about Pete being with Ashlee, but also cheating on her with Patrick and secretly wanting to be with him. And Patrick being really upset and mad (obviously) at the fact that Pete won't commit to him, and he hates that he's in love with him and not even sure if Pete loves him back. But at the end it want it to be like Patrick finally can't take it anymore and makes Pete choose between him and Ashlee, and at first he stays with Ashlee (just because he's technically already with her) but he eventually realizes he's in love with Patrick and chooses him. And then it's a happy ending lol.

I know that's already been written a hundred times lol. I dunno, do you think that's too cliche a plot? Cause I know I've read it before and it's a really popular theme. I'm just afraid people are gunna think it's boring because it's so common. So I'm not really sure what to put in it conflict wise to make it somewhat different. I'm also still not sure if I wanna make Ashlee good or bad, cause I really like her personally and I like in stories when they make her as like a good influential role and kind of happy that the two of them are finally getting together lol. Got any ideas? I know you're probably swamped with your own brilliant ideas and I feel kinda bad asking you for them lol. But I'm really into writing this, I'm just kinda stuck at the moment and not sure where to go next.

^_^

Of course.

It's a rather overused plot, yes, but there are ways to make it new and make it all your own. There are a million ways to go about writing a story, even if they all have the same plot. It's about what you do, not what its necessarily about.

I'd say sit down, grab a piece of paper and a pen, and just think of ways a relationship can fall apart, and ways that it stays together, themes, anything and everything. Sometimes more often than not, it can lead you to something you can use ^_^
