Well... it has been an interesting week...

And I do mean it hs been really interesting.
Sunday through Saturday I was in Virginia and let me tell you; it was so much fun.
Sunday: Woke up at six so I could get to my plane at 10.05 a.m. and arrived in VA around eleven or so. Cait and her mother came and picked us up. I missed them so much :D they took me on a quick tour of Cait's college and I still think OU is bigger but meh *shrug* to each his own. Sunday was mostly a getting settled in day so it was quite relaxing.
Monday: MONDAY WAS BUSCH GARDENS DAY WOOCHYAH!!!! I love that place so much and we literally went on all the rides we could. Word to the wise though; watch Apollo's Chariot. SCARY ASS RIDE! I don't get it. Put me in Cedar Point and there are rides I REFUSE to go on. Put me in VA with Cait and I'll literally go on any ride she tells me to. WTF?!
After a stop at the candy store - OMG WHITE CHOCOLATE COVERED STRAWBERRIES - and a bit of shopping, we went back to her place and we crashed XD it was a good nap day.
Tuesday: We decided to have a rather calm day after Busch Gardens so we went up to her Barnes and Nobles and stocked up on Manga. I bought seven volumes of Yu-Gi-Oh! - don't judge me! - and then stopped at Panera for lunch. Afterwards, we stopped at the VA Beach and walked the strip for about an hour. I bought the COOLEST glass mug there to fuel my pirate obsession! :D it has the Pirate Flags from the Pirates of the Seven Seas! It's now my favorite new possession; that and my pirate flag that says "Prepare to be Boarded" XD. YAY PIRATES!!!!!
Wednesday: Wednesday was another shopping day at the MacArthur Mall. GAH I LOVE THIS MALL! It's so big and cool. I bought meself some fun stuff and me and Cait met up with our other friends Jaime and Desi. Oh how I love those girls! They remind me so much of Cait and I it's not funny! We went to Max and Ermas for dinner - probably scared the shit out of our waiter - and madness ensued! I can say this. Banana Cream Pie looks good on me! We walked around the mall for a bit more, Desi and Jaime causing trouble everywhere they went - especially in the MAC make-up section - and it was a Starbucks run at the end. Hopefully, I'll be able to see my girls again <3333
Thursday: Thursday was beach day! And it was back to Virginia Beach to actually SWIM. AND THERE WERE DOLPHINS IN DA WATER! It was so cool! We were sitting up on the beach just relaxing when about four showed up, swimming close to the shore. SO COOL! I've never seen dolphins like that so it was a fun experience. After a quick change and food, we walked the strip again and I actually went and got my tongue pierced. And honestly, it didn't hurt when they did it. It hurt more AFTERWARDS but when they did it initially it just felt like a tiny pinch. I'm getting used to it now and I can't stop clicking it against my teeth XD Bad habit already!!!
Friday: Friday was back up and get ready to go day. After I had most of my stuff packed, Cait and I settled down to watch DVDs and just hang out in her room. It was so much fun.
Saturday: My return to home day. Left Norfolk, VA at about twelve-thirty and arrived home at around two-ish. As much as I miss my wife and best friend, it felt good to be home. I missed my parents something fierce and my Cujo too. It felt so weird not being with her.
So after a really good week, Sunday rolled along and it went to shit.
Literally.
Woke up at four-thirty to work at five. Not too bad there but I really should have asked for that day off. I was really off at work. Came home and was too tired to make it to my Cousin's bridal shower. I felt bad but honestly, I would have been a ghost there anyway, passed out on the table. So I came home, took a nap, and then ran about getting the last preperations done for my Mom's birthday Monday.
Came home, went into my room, and settled down to read when suddenly I hear my dad shouting at me to get my ass downstairs. Freaking out, I do so to find that our sewer was backing up! It had rained really bad earlier so we're thinking that had something to do with it but HOLY SHIT! We spent the next three hours sucking up water with shop-vacs, dumping out water, and throwing out the things that got wet - luckily we caught it early so nothing really important was thrown out.
Needless to say, it was NOT fun and it wasn't like we could run downstairs and grab our shoes and gloves. That's right. All three of us are down there, bare footed, sucking up CRAP WATER as fast as we can and getting it out of our basement. My aunt and Uncle came over to help and then finally it was ROTO-ROOTER TO THE RESCUE! Thank GOD our other uncle knew someone that could help us. This all happened around eight o'clock. They finally sent me up to shower around 11.00 p.m. I never scrubbed myself so hard in my life.
So like I said.
