Ah - the rhythm of CPR. But not for long, they say. In about two weeks it's apparently going to change in accordance with international standards. I remember reading in Time about it, but can't really quite remember the actual figures. I do know they said something about less breaths and more compressions. I'm sure I'll find out next time I gotta update my CPR.
So, yes, did my CPR thing last night. Was as expected, though those damn dummies mouths are hard and my lips are feeling quite bruised.
Clinicals start this Wednesday, 7:30am start. Yes, should be fun. At a medical ward in Toowoomba Base, so at least I'll be seeing quite a few things. Courts was at the same place, and she said there is going to be a bit of everything. Three weeks to look forward to, I'm sure.
Remember - 3 minutes of un-oxygenated brain leads to death/irreparable brain damage. Act quick, and know what you're doing. If you break a rib, reposition and keep going.
