Short Story- A very OC Christmas!!
Merry Christmas Eve everyone (or Merry Christmas for some of you)!!
As I said, I would get up a short story before the large Zia's Christmas Story I wrote, which will come tomorrow I decided (partly because it's being edited as we speak). :)
Fair warning, this short story isn't edited much, haha.
Anyways, here we go:
Dareious fixed the tie on his suit, and then checked himself out in the mirror of the bathroom to his office place. He wanted to go home and rest, tired from a long days work, but Danika wanted him to attend this Christmas Party everyone was going too, and he didn’t even have time to go home and change. He sighed and headed out the door, going down to his car. It wasn’t that he didn’t want to be “merry” with everyone else, it was that he much rather be doing something else with Danika instead...
It only took him 20 minutes to get to the large mansion Danika’s brother, Sinisha, owned. He could see Abelle forced him to decorate it, or maybe she decorated it. She always did get somewhat cheerful during Christmas season and started decorating his own condo when she lived with him... so Dareious was not surprise to see she would take over the mansion.
He parked his car near the others and locked it, yawning before heading up to the mansion and pushing open the doors. He could hear music playing, and the sound of cheerful laughter and talk. Taking his coat off and hanging it up, he walked to the grand living room, coming to the sight of a rather large Christmas Tree and the whole place, including the kitchen across from the living room in the hallway he was standing in, completely decked out in decoration.
“Hello Dareious… I see you made it after all,” Sinisha appeared from around a corner to the living room doorway.
“Sinisha…” Dareious said stiffly,” I see you went all out on this”
“It was Abelle’s wish...” Sinisha smiled fondly for a moment,” Food and drink are in the kitchen... course, though I am sure their mostly for the humans, but there’s wine too,” He turned and walked back into the living room. Dareious looked behind him and peeked into the kitchen.
He could see Danika’s friend Jasmine talking softly with her husband Jemil in there, both holding bottles two the mouths of their baby twins. Figuring best to let the parents be, not sure if they were attempting to put the kids asleep or something. He would get some wine later. Turning back the other way, he walked into the living room.
Nearly everyone was in here, somewhere. He could see Danika's ex Aiden cuddled up to his boyfriend Kama on the couch, enjoying the fire, and on a chair near them Riley was sitting on Kama’s older brother Zia, getting Zia to have small smiles with corny Christmas Jokes he found out about, and causing Zia and Kama's cousin, Leighla, to laugh from where she was sitting nearby with her “friend” Ian. Sai was with his boyfriend Kit, by the tree, admiring some glowing ornaments. Dareious could see Yin with both Yang and Star hiding over by a table that had a bowl of “punch”. He also got a surprise by seeing that, over by the window, his friend Drake had made it with his bride to be Selina, from Greece, for the Holidays, watching the snow fall outside. Over near the fireplace, in an open space of the floor, was Mircea and his fiancé Kira, looking like they were attempting to ballroom dance but more just both of them holding each other laughing, which was seemingly entertaining Felina, who was standing by Faust and Kazuke, giggling. Dareious took a moment to note the amusingness of Faust even being here for once. Under the tree, crawling around the presents was Mircea and Kira’s son, Yuki, followed closely by Aiden and Danika’s child, Ema, and then Dareious’s own adopted something-of-a-daughter, Kimi. Finally, Dareious looked behind him, to the side of the room, where a large Piano was. The piano wasn’t being played, but a Violin was, by Damien, with Lile sitting on the piano, and Violetta next to her. Near it also watching, was Tae, standing with Katsu’s little sister Aika, who was singing some Christmas Carol with Katsu, who was standing right next to Damien. The song sounded like Jingle Bell Rock, least that’s what Dareious thought it was called, from all the Christmas songs he knew human made over the years. Lastly was Abelle, standing by the arch way into the room, leaning happily against Sinisha.
Dareious took a moment to take in everything, how happy everyone looked. This really was always the season of togetherness and miracles, and for centuries Dareious watched humans gather and celebrate as so, but here was a mansion full of not only humans, but humans, elves, faeries, vampires, fauns, demons, angels, even dragons, of all sorts of types and orientations, all friends, family, or lovers… Dareious slightly laughed at how odd of a Christmas story this would sound.
Yet he had still not found Danika, she didn’t seem to be in here, amongst everyone he could see, and he was sure by now it wouldn’t be hard to spot a pregnant woman, even if she wasn’t showing that much.
“Dareious,” A soft voice said, and he looked over and up at the stairs, to where Danika was coming down, wearing a beautiful red dress with a low cut neck, going down to her chest a bit. It showed all her curves, and though barely, a little of the curve that was what of a baby bump she currently had. Her black hair was tied back, a piece of Holly in her hair up near the top. She reached the bottom step and walked over to him, smiling.
“In a suit?” She said, looking him over.
“I had to work late, and you really gave me no time to go home and change,” Dareious said as he carefully touched her stomach,” And how are you doing? I don't blame you for anything”
Danika pursed her lips,” Your going to be such a doting dad,”
“AH!! Caught under the misletoe!!” Katsu's voice rang out suddenly.
Dareious blinked and looked over at him, to find everyone in the room watching Danika and him, and Katsu pointing above their heads. There, tied above them to the archway, was a small pointed green plane with tiny white berrys. He looked at Danika quickly who just smiled. Really? Here? There was way too many people, even Jasmine and Jemil had heard Katsu and were peaking out the Katsu at them.
He opened his mouth to start a small protest but before he could, Danika grabbed his tie, jerking him down to her height and kissing him. He did nothing but accept it, kissing her back, wrapping his arms around her. He could hear everyone break out in cheers and claps, a couple yelling some suggestive ideas. After a minuet he pulled back and looked at her.
“Merry Christmas,” She said happily.
Dareious just smiled back at her,” Merry Christmas”

Besides that, we just opened our one present of Christmas Eve, and we opened the presents from my fiance since he has to work tomorrow morning. I only opened one from him, since I get to see him later tomorrow. Got some fuzzy boots. Their cute, not sure how much I'll wear them though.. not to into brown or heavy duty boots like that really, lol, but their from my love, so I still like them, haha. <3 My one present of Christmas Present of Christmas Eve was from my mom, and it's the movie Stardust, which I LOVE, so I am super happy about that. <3
Besides that, I got a super SUPER Migrane tonight, which is kinda killing my night slowly. I took an excedrin 6 hours ago, and two 320 each of advil not even half an hour ago, and this thing is still going strong. T_T UGH. Wish and hope it goes away soon for me everyone.
