Time to obsess.

I watched the last episode of Nip/Tuck’s 2nd season for the, I think, 7th time, and I couldn’t help but write about it.

Of course I love Ava, she’s just awesome. Her bitchslapping scene was great; Christian’s face was to die for. They gave the whole show a very interesting turn by having her turn out a guy, Famke does have something masculine.
The dinner at the end was great. How everyone was bonding and stuff, and then the hugs after. It was so cute when Julia hugged Shawn. They should have gotten back together. Or else what was the “I love you” for?
When the killed paralyzed Christian it was horrible. To see the tear running down his face just tore me up inside. Even though he’s an asshole, he didn’t deserve it. And somehow I hope he’s not dead.
Ugh, my mom interrupted my thinking by calling me for dinner. This is all about the episode for now…

Due to the fact that Famke was in Nip/Tuck, I am now also doing a rant about her, and a lot of movies she’s been in.

Let me say that anyone who hasn’t noticed my obsession with Famke must be blind. She has been my favorite actress for the past few years. I don’t find all her movies great, and realize that to others she might suck. But I don’t need to hear it. I live in a world where Famke is the greatest actress of all time, but she is not appreciated enough. She doesn’t play in a huge amount of movies, but she does play all the different characters you can imagine. You will never hear me saying that a movie was great just because Famke was in it. I’ll merely say the parts with her in it were great. Some people annoy me when they find a movie/TV show amazing only because there’s an actor/actress in it that they like, while actually it sucks. Enough of this whining, this is my Famke adoring post.
Some of you might not even know her… which means you’re missing out on a lot. She’s 39, and she was born in Holland. Yes, my country. This doesn’t mean I love everyone who’s from Holland, because I think Famke is the only one who can actually act without looking like a duck, talking about Dutch people here. That doesn’t include Rebecca Romijn, she’s a whole different thing. She’s not as Dutch to me.
When I first noticed her, I had no idea that she was Dutch. My friend and I were watching Goldeneye, it is not listed with the movies I’ve seen with her because I simply can’t remember any of it, and I loved Xenia. I kept seeing her in movies, and soon starting reading articles about “The Dutch girl who made it to Hollywood”. My TV guide, Veronica, has at least 3 pictures of her in it every time she’s in a movie, and there’s always a little article.
I’m still shocked that Famke will be turning 40 this year, when she looks way younger. I’m glad with the way she thinks about plastic surgery; she’ll stay naturally beautiful forever. Sure, she has wrinkles, but that doesn’t make her any less gorgeous. Now on to her movies…

The movies I’ve seen with her in it:
X-Men 1 & 2:
X1: Across the world, children are born with an extra twist to their chromosomes that allow them to exhibit superhuman abilities: fire a beam of force from their eyes, or sprout wings that allow flight or being able to read men's minds. These 'children of the atom' are often feared and despised by the world, forcing these 'mutants' to resort to desperate actions. However, one group of mutants have banded together to show the world that it need not fear their kind. Apart, they are simply scientific curiousities, freaks and monsters - but together, united by their shared belief, they are more - they are the uncanny X-Men.

X2: Already living in a society that mistrusts them, the mutants are faced with even more discrimination after an unforeseen enemy - who may be a mutant with extraordinary powers - launches a devastating attack. The news of the assault causes a public outcry against the mutants, including renewed support for the Mutant Registration Act, and William Stryker, a military leader rumored to have experimented on mutants (possibly including Wolverine), is among the most vocal supporters of the legislation. Stryker puts into motion a plan to eradicate the mutants and begins an offensive on the X-Men mansion and school. Magneto, having escaped from his plastic prison, forms an unlikely alliance with Professor Xavier to stop Stryker. Meanwhile, Wolverine heads north to investigate his past.

She was adorable in the first one, and though she had more of a lead role in the second movie, I didn’t like her as much. Her hair wasn’t great, or just didn’t look too good on her. Some of the dialogues in both movies were great. For example when Wolverine finds out Scott is Jean’s boyfriend, and he goes: “So that’s your gift, huh? Being able to put up with him.” Jean was better in the first movie, at the end of the second one she just annoyed me. Besides, there were things I really didn’t understand. If she’s able to control the plane and the water at the same time, why wouldn’t she get in the plane herself and take off with it? She could have gotten in, and kept the water away, right? Or am I just imagining things here?
Both movies were great, and I can’t decide which one’s better. I must have seen both of them at least 10 times now, and they still don’t get boring.

House on Haunted Hill:
When an eccentric millionaire offer a group of opposites $1,000,000 to spend the night in a so called "Haunted House" with a murderous past, they figure it is a quick way to get quick money and leave. All of them are sure it is some made up story just to mess with their heads a little and test their courage. But, once they stay in the house they start to think about the mistake they made in coming there when mysterious things start to happen.

She must have died 3 times or something… Peter Gallagher was in it, but he wasn’t too good there. He was like some kind of loser just being there. Famke played a bitch, and I love when she does. There’s just always something in you that wants to be that way, and not care about it. But then in the end you always do and it’s weird. She hates her husband, and her husband hates her back, but I think he loves her at the same time. When she’s like “eaten” by the house, he’s actually hurt, and in a way he does care about her. I love the parts when Famke bitches at everyone and acts terribly sarcastic. It reminded me of Miss Parker somehow. I think when she was electrocuted all of them acted really well, and I had no idea she would actually wake up again later.
A lot of people said this movie sucks, but I don’t think so. Some things were very predictable, but there are worse movies.

I Spy:
When a high tech fighter plane's stolen, the U.S. government believe that an arms dealer named Gundars has it and plans to sell it. So they send Alexander Scott to retrieve it. Now Scott though well-trained, is a little inexperienced and spends most of his time pining after another (female) agent. Now his superiors tell him that the best way for them to get close to Gundars is; Kelly Robinson, an egotistical and cocky boxer, who has a fight that's scheduled to take place in the city that Gundars has the plane, and Gundars is a fan of his. While the operation seems to go well, Kelly's cockiness gets them in trouble.

This is my brother’s favorite movie ever. Eddie Murphy is a freaky guy, his face scares me really bad. Famke’s part in the beginning is really funny - “cut his dick off.” It’s more of a movie for kids, yet I loved it. It’s funny how she dies, like in House on Haunted Hill, yet she isn’t dead. Her leather skirt looks incredibly good on her, and I think I’m jealous of her legs. Watch it, especially the whole thing where she’s in bed and Owen Wilson and Eddie Murphy hit on her at the same, though they’re not actually in the room with her.

Don’t Say a Word:
A group of thieves steal a rare gem, but in the process, two of the men double cross the leader of the thieving group, Patrick (Sean Bean), and take off with the precious stone. Ten years later, prominent psychiatrist Nathan Conrad (Michael Douglas) is invited to examine a disturbed young woman named Elisabeth (Brittany Murphy). Patrick immediately kidnaps Nathan's daughter, forcing Nathan to attempt to get Elisabeth to reveal a secret number which will ultimately lead Patrick to the whereabouts of the precious gem that has eluded him.

I love this movie. I love Famke in it. That’s all.

Made:
Bobby is a struggling boxer and bodyguard for his stripper girlfriend. But he hates his work and wants to move up. So he agrees to go to New York City for his boss to help in the delivery for a money laundering scheme. His partner in crime is his best friend Ricky, an obnoxious loudmouth who has seen one too many mafia movies. Bobby tries to keep it cool and get the job done, but Ricky's antics threaten to blow the entire situation.

This movie sucks, honestly, I think I watched 20 minutes at the beginning, and after the first scene with Famke, I couldn’t be bothered to watch anymore. The movie had no story whatsoever, and seeing Famke as a stripper didn’t actually fit my image of her.

Eulogy:
When three generations of a dysfunctional family gather in Rhode Island to bury the family patriarch, members of the Collins clan are at each other's throats in no time. Son Daniel is a secret porn actor, and daughter Lucy is a lesbian. Lucy totes along her lover Judy to the outrage of Lucy's aggressively neurotic sister Alice, whose hysterical overreaction to the pair's marriage plans ought to tell everyone something. Rounding out the delightful crowd are dim brother Skip, whose unfailingly rude twin sons offer caustic commentary on their elders' infantile predilections; matriarchal widow Charlotte, who becomes so justifiably distraught at the insanity of her children she tries to commit suicide; and Kate, a confused but comely college freshman who juggles preparation of the eulogy with internal debate over what to do with her childhood friend-turned-suitor, Ryan.

All the way on the left.

Parts of the movie were hilarious, but there were also overdone parts. The grandma’s falling out of the car scene was so funny, but some parts were incredibly boring. Seeing Famke as a lesbian was amusing, and made me think that she is probably bi. She gets so close to Kelly that it has to be natural. I think she even mentioned something about it some time ago, but I’m not sure.

Deep Rising:
When a band of ruthless hijackers invade the world's most luxurious cruise ship, they're shocked to discover the passengers have mysteriously vanished! But that doesn't mean they are alone! Something terrifying is lurking just out of sight: a deadly force from the unexplored depths of the ocean that begins to snatch the horrified intruders one by one!

This movie, not so good either. The special effects looked really fake, and I didn’t like the ending much. Besides, I couldn’t find any good pictures of Famke in it. Damn Google.
