So I think I have developed an unhealthy obsession. When I was younger I REALLY used to love Jim Henson's 'The Labyrinth'. Well I hadn't seen it in a LOoooooOooooooong time so while out the other day I decided to buy a copy

i just checked out Labyrinth on imdb.com and i dont think im familiar with it but the actors seem somehow famous :)

It is absolutely one of the best movies ever. You REALLY need to watch it. Jim Henson was a freaking genius! That movie just captures everything about fantasy that little girls love, ya know?

Yes, that movie is pure marvelousness. I recently became addicted to the fanfic scene there myself and have found some amazing and hilarious works. What are some of your favs you have found?

I really dig all of Ergott and PaisleyRose's works. I find that they are like the giants of JxS. To me anyways. I mean there are a few others but those two are the major ones... and they both have sooo many good works. What have you been reading? I think we need to compare notes! haha

Hm, hadn't heard of Ergott yet so will have to check it out, but PaisleyRose is on my 'to-read' list. There are a ton of amazing authors though. Lixxle is HI-larious. So is Pika-la-cynique, though you really need to check out her Labyrinth artwork as well. She has a comic strip as well that's pretty freaking fantastic. (They're in the real world and it totally slays me that Sara makes fun of all the gratuitous innuendo and 'the bulge' - haha.)

Let's see - there's also ScatteredLogic and DanseMacabre, K L Morgan and Subtilior, Lauhau and DeGlace....arg, so many.

Gah, but I gotta run to work. If I remember more goodies later I'll drop em by ^_-

Well I know what I am going to be doing this weekend... haha. Thank you for the suggestions. I am a total Labyrinth obsessive now and I have to get my fix. It sucks waiting for the updates for those two. But you know... its so hard to weed through all of the not so great stories to find the real gems.

OMG, IT'S THE BEST MOVIE EVER!! I even bought a special edition DVD. 8DD I've been an obsessive Labyrinth fan since like I was 7! xD Especially since Brian Froud (one of my favorite artists) was the one who did all the art work and design for the goblins/fairies.

I remember that when 'A Beautiful Mind' came out and I saw who the leading actress was, I pointed at the screen and went: "Holy shit, it's the girl from Labyrinth!!" Hahahaha!

I KNOW! I used to love the movie and its like... for a while I tried to grow out of my 'childish' phase (it was around that time I became too cool to draw or watch anime anymore either) and just lost touch with it.

Is that who did it? I REALLY love all of the design and art work in that movie. It really just catches your eye. I've been really digging the fanfic I've been reading... stuff that has Jareth as like high prince of the Seelie court and stuff. haha ^__^ Sara and Jareth are one of those couples you're like... 'DAMN YOU! YOU KNOW YOU LIKE HIIIIIIM!'
