When I was being interviewed at PWC and they asked me how much my mthly salary is ... I told them the truth ... I think they dont want me :( I should've told them I get a lot more but the dumbass that I am told them exactly how much I get ( Read more... )

You are not being punished because you lied - other people seem to get away with it. Couldn't you have booked annual leave to do the interview?

Maybe you thought you looked old because of what Khushru said which btw was very rude. You should insult him back.

Also you probably should have lied about your salary but it's too late to do anything now. You never know you still might get the job. Really they shouldn't base whether you get the job on what you earn now but on whether they think you could do the job well!

Are you applying for uni's yet?

No I cant do that .. about 2 weeks ago I had applied for my annual leave salary and got it. I am aware of certain companies where people get to go on leave and get paid for it .. but this company isnt like that (cheap bas***ds).

I SHOULD have lied about the salary :-/ they prolly think that this comoany didnt think I was 'good enough' for an increment. But it isnt that really .. they just dont do it for anyone .. a few people with a 'high' post have low salaries as well (something that I should be getting for my position).
Btw I did get a call yesterday asking if I could pop in on saturday for a 2nd interview! I'm excited about it at the same time a bit nervous.

I think its all the stress :-/ and actually yeah after Khushru said that to me I was a bit too concious about it.

Good luck in the 2nd interview. It's a shame you don't get paid leave. Over here it's only temps who don't.

Sorry I missed the Uni part earlier.
I havent made any move on that yet .. I'm waiting for this job thing to happen/ not happen and then apply for the TOEFL. Once I get the results for that I'll apply for Uni.

Also with the whole money thing thats happened I dont feel like applying to 6 uni's. I think I should just apply to EdgeHill College (in Liverpool) and see what happens :-/

I dont know .. there are times when I want to cry and nothing happens. Thats mostly when I dont speak to anyone about whats bothering me so I just cry it out ....

Hopefully, they will call. No, you shouldn't have lied though. Honesty is always the best, no matter what.
YOu are not doomed to work anywhere. You WILL get a better job. You just can not give up. Maybe, it will not be this specific one, but a different one...

I didnt lie at the interview .. I lird to my boss about why I didnt come to work on the day I had the job interview and I feel terrible for doing that :(

they prolly would do a credit/background check before they hired you anyway, so they woulda found out anyway. dont worry about lying, its better that u didnt. you should be 100% truthful in your job interviews. and well, you know....fuck the place you dont even like working at

and you need a night out on the town. then ull feel young!!

ps. which univerisites in canada did u apply to? i got accepted into st francis xavier, and acadia..and another, but i dont remember actually haha. i was gonna transfer when gw bush won the election haha. what a wretched man he is.

I had got it all wrong first. I had to like read it several times to sink in lol - 1st it was coz of Bush as to why you hadnt gone (like maybe it was against the law or something)
