(no subject)
its been a weird week this week. first i heard the news about ben's death. then a couple of days later chris' uncle dies, then on tuesday my good friend beth's mother dies. they say death comes in threes.
i wasn't close to ben, but it's tragic and my heart goes to all those that were. chris is ok about his uncle, he was a great-uncle and i dont think they were really close. i wish there was more i could do for beth. she already lost her father and now her mother. her mom had cancer and while she was in the hospital, sick from chemo, she died from a blood clot to the lungs. her mom lived in chicago, so she flew up there yesterday. i can't imagine the pain of losing both parents. her grandparents are both still alive, but she is only 26 and has neither one of her parents.
death is a natural part of life, but that doesn't make it easy to deal with. at least her mom went quick. her cancer had progresses and it looked likely to be an uphill and unsuccessful battle.
