[When Hitsugaya turns on the PDA, it's clear he's just walked through the door. He's also carrying something close to his chest with his other arm and is soaked, not just his lower legs but up to his waist and his arms as well

[ When she said she would be right there, she hadn't been lying. Three floors down meant absolutely nothing to her, and she was there in under thirty seconds, a whisper of shunpo in through the door way, billowing captains haori and all ]

How badly is it injured?

[He didn't look up when she arrived, knowing only she could have made it that quickly. He'd commandeered the bed he'd rarely slept on, wrapping the sheets into a bundle with the small, dark gray kitten lying on top.

And kitten it was. It was painfully small.]

Superficial injuries, mostly. My biggest concern is the front right leg.

[He didn't know what was wrong with it, just that something was definitely wrong. Just touching it brought forth cold, loud hissing from its maw.]

[ She hurried forward, kneeling down in front of it. Slender fingers were light and gently, handling the tiny little things leg like it were the most fragile piece of glass in the world. Sure enough, even such a light touch made it hiss and Yoruichi, just as carefully pulled her fingers away ]

You poor thing. It's broken, it would seem. It will need to be splinted. Everything else...Well, I'm no where as good as Unohana-san, but I can heal them up for the most part.

[One can easily forget that a lot can happen within only a couple of minutes. By the time he finally made it to Hitsugaya's room, he and Yoruichi were already circled around the kitten. He didn't comment as he entered the room, over hearing the woman as he did so.]

Then I would suggest finding two small pieces of sturdy wood and a strip of cloth while she does that.

[He wasn't as used to taking orders anymore, but some habits died hard. Despite his initial, irrational frustration at being told what to do by someone who'd just waltzed into his apartment, he quickly removed his zanpakutou from its sheath and used it to pry off a small section of the doorframe, then split that in half. As for a strip of cloth, off the edge of the sheets went, into a long, even band.

After resheathing the blade (though he kept it at his back), he wordlessly tossed the items to Uchiha. He'd asked for them; now he had them.]

[ A single slender eyebrow arched in question to Sasuke's arrival, but focused on the matter at hand.

The haori she wore was slipped off her shoulders, laying it across her lap, followed by the arm warmers she wore, laying them atop the bundle of white fabric.

Just as light and gentle as before, Yoruichi reached out to the kitten, golden yellow eyes looking over the tiny body, assessing the extent of it less serious injuries ]

[Sasuke caught the supplies with ease and made his way opposite of Yoruichi, kneeling down in front of the kitten before reaching out with an uncharacteristic gentleness to pet it with his index and middle fingers.

When it gave a soft mewl in response, Sasuke took the broken leg in question, ghosting his thumb over it in his own assessment.

Without saying a word, Sasuke shifted just slightly as he set the leg in place, earning a louder mewl from the kitten. Taking the splints, he gently set them on either side before began to wrap them and the leg with the strip of cloth. He made sure not to tight it too tight and not too loose, but tight enough that the splints would hold.]

[He watched from a meter or so behind the other two, arms folded across his still dripping shihakushou. He'd leave them to it. All he could do at this point was wait.]

[ She waited until Sasuke had finished, holding her hand out over some of the lesser wounds, her hand glowing a faint green with reiatsu. It was a slow process, since she was not by any means a healer, but it would help, immensely. It would just take time ]

[He pulled away when he was done, watching as Yoruichi healed the cat. He couldn't help but note for a second time now similar the shinigami's healing techniques were to that of a medical ninja.

Perhaps she could be useful, after all.]

[The sight was familiar to him, and he felt a small clench in his chest. Without much thought, he ignored it. It wouldn't do him any good to think about things he couldn't have, nor places he couldn't see.

The cat seemed to be visibly relaxing, slowly but surely.]

[ She does what she can, giving the kitten a small scratch behind the ears before rising back upon her feet, pulling her arm warmers back in place ]
