Back in California

So this weekend I flew out east to hang out with Megan and take a bit of a Cali-break. I got into NYC about 2pm on Thursday and when Megan got out of class we bummed around for a bit, tried to go to a fondue place, and ended up going to Shake Shack since it was super duper nice outside. Everyone else decided to go to the Shack too, the line was INSANE. When Eric showed up we had to make him table-stalk for us.
Friday we got breakfast and Megan had to go to an art fair for school. I went to Intimacy (that bra fitting place that they go to in "How to Look Good Naked") which was illuminating. Victoria's Secret is definitely wrong. Then Megan and I went to the Brooklyn Botanical Garden since the Cherry Blossoms were near peak everywhere. Super pretty, and my first time to intentionally go to Brooklyn. Fancy. Then we got sushi for dinner with Eric and drank booze up on his rooftop deck.
Saturday we decided to go get student tickets for the Met since a) I wanted to go inside and 2) it was a farce, which is better than the depressing operas. We went to Brooklyn to go to this place called One Girl Cookie which was pretty tasty. The Whoopie Pie was fantastic. We tried out a pizza place by Megan's that we always pass. It was good, but not the best pizza I've had.
Sunday we went and got Jersey Boys SRO because we both wanted to see Sebastian and I always love that show. The audience was fantastic, and the entire cast was pretty on. Sebastian is just too adorable and while he might not be my favorite Bob, he's damn close. I like the cast as it is right now. I still want to pick Michael up and put him in my pocket. And I finally got to try S'Mac. That shit is tasty. I had to help Megan and Jenna with some minor plumbing in their apartment too. What would that girl do without me. ;)

Then today I headed out fairly early to try to get standby on an earlier flight since I wasn't booked until the 5:30pm. As I'm walking up to security to get my ID checked, I spot this tall, skinny guy walking over to security. Then I look closer and realize that the hot boy is Josh Duhamel. Boy is FINE in person. I was oogling him, admittedly, and walked through the metal detector right after him, giving me a nice view. It was so different from the time from LA to NYC when Lohan was on my flight. She was all drama, drama, look at me. Josh was so freakin mellow that I might have been the only person who recognized him. That was a nice start to my day. AND THEN I get my standby seat and the lady put me in the last available Business seat, making my day even better. I love business on United P.S. flights. It is better than First on their regular flights. Then when we got to LA I got to oogle Josh a bit more since he ended up in front of me as I was walking out of the terminal. I love the fact that I spotted a paparazzi dude hanging out near baggage claim. Exciting.

And that was my weekend. Now I need to study for my final next week.
