Its not good adventure, its GREAT Adventure!

This past weekend was one of those that I will remember forever. And i hate those kind of weeks, because I'm always going to want to go back in time and relive them. But i just have to keep thinking, that its not even summer yet, and already Ive had a great weekend like i did. Man oh man, i cant wait until this thing opens.

So lets go back in time shall we?

Friday night, aislinn and i went to see the Little Shop of Horrors at Sallies. It was really good, very well preformed and well, they out did our play, but they have more money so thats that. Afterwards we went to the charcoal pit for some good eatin'. A nice change from the ordinary if i say so myself.

Work saturday morning lasted forever. Actually it lasted 4 hours, but man, the definition of forever is 4 hours of work at the Y on a saturday. At any rate, i survived, and than i ran home to get all of my stuff and made suer i was properly geared for a day at the park. Picked aislinn up, and got outta here.

I know i know.. its tradition. An LJ cut with a great opening day story.

We got up there just in time for the 15 minute storm from the unknown. Holy hell did it rain super hard. It was perfect.. opening day with rain. It scared everyone out real fast.

It stopped raining and we ran to guest relations and i got my pass situation all figured out, got aislinn into the park.. and met up with the gang. My first ride of the year.. Superman? Meh.. it was alright.

Since aislinn was there, i got to ride a few rides that i normally just walk by, such as the carousel!

haha..

=) we werent scared!

the park was not the park i know and love.. it was better. THey had so many cool things going on.

bands playing..

and some awesome characters
I didnt ride a whole lot of coasters, i was so excited because of the once in a lifetime opportunity we got..

To tour El Toro with the General Manager and Construction manager!

thats AL and Ron, the people i have longed to meet for a very long time.

We got to see it all

thats the group.. coastin' steve was there

that is going to be one sweet turnaround.

one huuuge lift hill.

last time anyone will take that picture!

standing inside of the structure!

sure to be an amazing drop.

im soo excirted to be touching the track, that i forgot to keep my eyes open.

The oh so wonderful looking head chopper, a great sunset, and ron.. in one picture!

another picture in the infield that no one else will ever have

you can ask aislinn about that one

pretty cool shot of the crane and the station

i love what the sun looks like on the structure

so eventually our amazing tour had to come to and end

but not before a kristen and angel photo op!

so we walked down to check out the new bugs bunny national park.. and it was pretty impressive

shortly after that.. we did the unthinkable. Got aislinn Duke to ride the new and improved Runaway Train!

I am very proud of her for riding a roller coaster.. and i am fairly sure that was the worst one she could have gotten on. which means mabe she;ll do the rest!

gotta throw some artsy pictures in there

thats another rare angle right there

so after the roller coaster adventure for aislinn she was brave enough to ride the ferris wheel too! lol, and she was scared to death and had to hang on to me the whole time!

she made me keep reaching out to stop the swiging every time we stopped, haha.

i got some pretty sweet night shots while we were up there.

After that, we all headed up to the grandstand. What better way to end an amazing day, and kick off what will be an amazing season, than a firework show!

They werent AS good as america.. but at the end they shook the bleachers and lit up the night sky.

So ends one amazing opening day. I could not have asked for more.. but i got it anyways. I got aislinn to ride a coaster.. i got a great our and met some amazing people.. and got an invite to come ride it when it opens!

Happy 45'th Six Flags!
