This weekend was pretty festive if i say so myself. Well, maybe not festive, but it was a change from the normal. I signed out of school early on friday, and you all know why. I headed up to villanova to visit paul my long lost friend. I took me about a half hour to get there, and its right next to cabrini so i got that experience in how to get there.
We spent some time in his dorm just watching olympic hockey and meeting the kids around there. His friends are all cool and rather welcoming. So we went for dinner and than headed to the show. 2 bands ive never heard of played, the one was okay and the other had some problems on the stage so they didnt sound all that great. Hidden in plain view played too, and they were pretty cool. The lead guitarist kinda did a drum solo/ battle with the lead drummer, who was only 17. It was awesome to watch. Im not really into hidden in plain view but, the show was free so how could i have passed itu p. Thy ended up being alright though so.
We got back to the dorms, and paul went out on his own to see a few friends for awhile, so i crashed in another one of his friends dorm and we all watched america's funniest home videos, and family guy season three. sometime around 2 we all decided to go to bed. I was going to sleep on colin's floor, but paul showed up out of nowhere.. so i stayed in his room haha.
the next afternoon.. lmao. we woke up the latest i have in a good while.. and still managed to get breakfast. That is going to be my favorite thing about college. You can freaking get breakfast until like 4 in the afternoon. AFter that we watched a little more olympics before i said my goodbyes and got out of there.
I got home and headed off to my aunts for bill's birthday. WE did the cake thing and whatnot and than i went straight to aislinns from there.
I really wasnt home for more than 4 hours this weekend, actually.
i guess its about 8 that i got there, and we sat up and watched tv and stuff until we all went to bed.
I crashed there because she had a horse show this morning and we left at 5. It was super ungodly cold. The horse park is wide open and windy and.. I was more than happy to get back in the house today. Aislinn did alright for her first show of the year. She placed 5th in her 2nd class so. Not too shabby.
so we got back to the house and crashed out. Man i was tired. That was the best nap ive ever had. And now its going to be hard to sleep tonight because im not going to have a nice warm body laying next to me, making weird noises with her teeth. =)
A good weekend if i say so myself
so here is my theme song for this weekend. Not only did i get to see these guys.. but well, it feels like 20fuckingbelow outside right now too. plus the wind and whatnot. so.. here it is.
This puzzled look you stare to me says
"You put me back together"
Her head's down, she waits impatiently
Scattered in my heart, torn up and ripped apart
It's ripped apart...
And I know, I should have known
By the times you looked at me
Brace yourself
Strength finds a place in me
Just wait and, and you'll see, you're everything I want
And don't take this from me
Just wait and, and you'll see, you're everything I want
Don't take this from me now...
With the wind strong in my face, I'm still staggering through
I'm closer to the ground than I will ever get to you
Dirt deep beneath my fingernails, I'm gripping to the floor
I'm searching through the world, always looking for something more
Just wait and you'll see, you're everything I want
Don't take this from me
Just wait and you'll see, you're everything I want
Don't take this from me now
And these cold winter nights, without you next to me
It feels like twenty below
Frostbite on my heart
This pain and suffering are feelings that you don't know
(You don't know) [x3]
Feeling that you don't know
(You don't know)
Does it feel like, does it feel like twenty below?
Just wait and you'll see, you're everything I want...
